Construction Project Manager Jobs in Nevada: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a construction project manager in Nevada?
Most construction project manager roles in Nevada require a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field combined with field or project experience. While Nevada does not issue a state license specifically for construction project managers, many employers require familiarity with Nevada contractor licensing requirements administered by the Nevada State Contractors Board. Earning a PMP credential or a CCM designation strengthens applications considerably for both private and public agency work in the state.
How much do construction project managers make in Nevada?
Construction project managers in Nevada earn a median of about $115,250 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $81,010 for the lowest 10% to over $175,640 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire construction project managers in Nevada?
Employers hiring construction project managers in Nevada right now include JLL, Tesla, and Albemarle, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nevada's concentration of large resort, infrastructure, and industrial development projects means hiring tends to cluster around general contractors, owner-developers, and public agencies managing long-horizon capital programs across the Las Vegas metro and Reno corridor.
Which Nevada cities have the most construction project manager jobs?
The cities with the most construction project manager openings in Nevada are Las Vegas, Reno, and Sparks. Las Vegas dominates due to continuous resort and mixed-use development on the Strip and in surrounding suburbs, while Reno reflects growth driven by large warehouse, logistics, and advanced manufacturing projects in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center.
Are there remote construction project manager jobs in Nevada?
Yes, but they're rare. Construction project management is an inherently on-site role, so fully remote positions represent a small share of the market. About 22% of construction project manager openings tied to Nevada are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to cover pre-construction planning, estimating, or owner's representative functions that can be handled off-site.
How can I get hired as a construction project manager in Nevada with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying as a project engineer or assistant project manager with a general contractor that operates large commercial or hospitality projects in the Las Vegas or Reno markets. Firms like Whiting-Turner, Skanska, and Nevada-based regional contractors often bring on recent graduates in project engineer roles and develop them internally. Completing an internship through a Nevada System of Higher Education construction management program, getting OSHA 30 certified, and building a portfolio of field experience through superintendent or estimating assistant work accelerates the transition into a full project manager seat.
Where can I find and apply to construction project manager jobs in Nevada?
You can find and apply to construction project manager jobs in Nevada on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Find roles that fit your experience and specialty and apply directly to the employers posting them.
