Position Summary:
The Regional Business Office Consultant (RBOC) provides oversight, support, and strategic guidance to Business Office Managers (BOMs) across multiple skilled nursing facilities. This role is responsible for optimizing revenue cycle performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, improving cash collections, and standardizing business office operations across assigned facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support and training to Business Office Managers and facility leadership on billing, collections, and revenue cycle processes
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including AR aging, cash collections, denial rates, and billing accuracy
- Conduct routine audits of billing practices to ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care guidelines
- Assist facilities in reducing outstanding accounts receivable and improving cash flow
- Oversee and support Medicaid eligibility, application processes, and follow-up
- Collaborate with admissions teams to ensure accurate payer source verification and financial documentation upon admission
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements across facilities
- Support implementation and optimization of billing software and systems
- Participate in facility visits, providing on-site training and performance reviews as needed
- Assist with triple check meetings and revenue cycle reviews
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to billing and collections
- Prepare and present regular financial and operational reports to senior leadership
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility business office required
- Multi-site or regional experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medicare Part A & B, Medicaid (Florida), and managed care billing
- Proven experience with accounts receivable management and collections
- Experience training and mentoring staff
- Proficiency in healthcare billing systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Work Environment & Travel:
- Frequent travel (50–75%) to assigned skilled nursing facilities throughout Florida
- Combination of on-site facility work and remote responsibilities

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
