Ensures the security and safety of property, collections, staff, and visitors by executing all aspects of physical security and special events operations. Implements security policies and procedures and facility entry and egress access control. Conducts interior and exterior roving patrols of building areas and monitors and responds to emergency situations.

• Prepares incident reports.
• Monitors systems and identifies potential problems or threats to
• the collections, equipment, buildings, staff, and visitors.
• Works with fire marshals, law enforcement, and contracted services as needed.
• Coordinates security issues with study site security personnel.
• Responsible for accompanying research participants between
• study site and FIU on a daily basis to ensure participants stay
• within assigned areas and act in orderly manner.
• Accesses research database, REDCap, to obtain participant
• information and visit information in order to check participants in for their research study appointments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
