INTRODUCTION

ROLE
Selene is actively searching for an experienced Recruiter whose primary focus is filling mortgage servicing positions (e.g., Cash Posting Specialist, Loss Mitigation Specialist, Foreclosure Specialists, Title Curative Specialists, etc.). You will source, screen, and coordinate candidates through our interview process with responsibility for the full recruiting cycle through to the candidate’s onboarding. Recruiters are Selene’s brand ambassadors within the market creating a positive candidate experience, providing ongoing feedback to improve the process, and coaching hiring managers with regard to candidate’s near- and long-term viability as a Selene employee. Our recruiters work a hybrid schedule of in-office 3-days per week or as needed and remote 2-days per week.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
- Research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent (active and passive) for the company
- Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the department and the Company
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with hiring leaders and other stakeholders
- Establish, build and maintain positive relationships with both hiring managers and candidates, ensuring proactive communication at each step including when a candidate is declined
- Create and maintain a high-quality pipeline of candidates through various daily outreach efforts, including via emails, social media campaigns, high volume outbound/cold calls, passive applicants via the ATS, online networks, and other sourcing tools
- Collaborate with peers, hiring leaders, and others to identify untapped or underutilized candidate pools/sources
- Extend offers and negotiate pay rates, as authorized
- Effectively prioritize job openings and related recruitment efforts; engage hiring leaders directly to set and reset expectations based on search results
- Manage tasks in a highly deadline oriented environment
- Meet talent acquisition metrics based on assigned monthly and weekly hiring goals (e.g., candidate experience, cost to fill, and time to fill)
- Assist with other recruiting activities, projects, and tasks as delegated and needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems; preferably Workday
- 2+ years successfully recruiting in the mortgage servicing / financial services / insurance industries with a solid track record of direct recruiting, sourcing and building pipelines from resources outside of passive candidates, and using data to evolve your recruiting process
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to convey thoughts concisely, adjust messaging to the audience, and interact with prospective and existing candidates to discuss assignment details, pay, and create a white glove experience from first point of contact through Selene’s final hiring decision or the individual’s first day on the team
- Results driven, with a high sense of urgency, ownership, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Organized and detail oriented with a focus on the candidate experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with others quickly (e.g., candidates, hiring leaders, peers, and vendors)
- Resilient, able to navigate high velocity change and high volume recruiting goals while ensuring you communicate openly and directly to your immediate manager or designated leader limitations, needs for support and/or tools to deliver your best work
- Passion for networking, sales, and/or connecting via social media or other professional venues
- High School or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
