JOB SUMMARY
The Pricing and Contract Data Specialist is responsible for the lifecycle management of procurement data, ensuring total alignment between Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts, distributor pricing, and internal Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This role acts as a critical checkpoint for financial accuracy by conducting compliance audits, tracking rebates, and managing facility rosters to secure optimal GPO tier pricing. The incumbent in this role will proactively resolve pricing discrepancies and collaborate across Finance and Supply Chain to maintain a seamless, cost-effective procurement workflow.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Integrity and System Maintenance:
- Supports the implementation and ongoing maintenance of new and existing products, contracts, and pricing information in the organization’s ERP system.
- Uploads and updates supplier contracts and related pricing information in both the ERP and ancillary information systems.
- Ensures the accuracy and consistency of supplier pricing data, reconciling discrepancies between supplier pricing and the information stored in the ERP system.
- Maintains alignment between supplier pricing, contractual terms, and ERP data, contributing to financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Performs compliance audits to assess contract and pricing adherence, ensuring all new and existing products are accurately reflected in the system according to contractual terms.
- Monitors and tracks cost savings and supplier rebate programs.
Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) Management:
- Ensures accurate enrollment and maintenance of the organization’s facility roster with the healthcare provider’s GPO.
- Collaborates with the GPO to optimize tier structures, ensuring the healthcare provider secures competitive pricing and contract terms for various product categories and services.
- Regularly reviews GPO contract status and evaluates tier adjustments to optimize pricing.
Distribution:
- Monitors and validates weekly price reports from distributors, ensuring timely and accurate reflection of any changes in the ERP system.
- Investigates and resolves pricing discrepancies from distributor contracts, ensuring consistent application of agreed-upon pricing.
Collaboration:
- Works closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless alignment between pricing strategies, financial reporting, and operational workflows.
- Collaborates with suppliers, distributors, and internal customers to resolve pricing issues, discrepancies, and contractual queries.
- Supports the preparation of periodic reports and presentations related to pricing analysis and contract management for the leadership team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years of experience with progressive responsibility in procurement and/or supply chain is required; three or more years of experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail required.
- Experience managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
Preferred:
- Experience with supply chain information systems, electronic resource planning, data analytics tools, or other relevant technologies required.
- Proficient using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Physical Requirements:
Constant (67-100% of workday) sitting and use of arms and hands; occasional (0-33% of workday) standing, walking, bending, squatting; ability to lift, push, and pull up to 10 lbs.; auditory and visual skills.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
