Who We Are
Responsibilities:
The Area Director of Operation’s essential duties include the following:

Provide supervision, training, coaching, and evaluation for EmpowerMe staff at host communities in your assigned area
- Direct and oversee area teams to establish/maintain routine quality improvement efforts and monitoring, including clinical record review, patient satisfaction, and survey readiness
- Ensure that team leads are attending daily stand-up meetings and reporting information internally
- Ensure staff meets identified metrics for visit targets, enrollment growth, and KPI performance, and provide strategic guidance on how to reach targets
- Impress on team members the importance of the EmpowerMe space always being clean, organized, and tour ready
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation of new team members
- Provide education to team on updated policies and procedures for all service lines
- Ensure each location stays in compliance with all regulatory agencies and diagnostics
- Provide leadership in such a manner that represents key servant leadership principles, including effective listening, empathy, awareness, and persuasiveness
- Comply with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and PHI (Protected Health Information) guidelines and protect confidentiality at all times

Seek out opportunities to ensure EmpowerMe Wellness is a key differentiator for each community served, as well as ways we can support their residents with all product lines
- Own the operational drivers of growth within managed communities, including productivity performance, therapy and care coordination enrollment, product line utilization, and expansion opportunities within existing partnerships
- Drive adoption and utilization of EmpowerMe services across all service lines
- Deliver best-in-class services for all product lines by executing person-centered strategies that produce outcomes in line with company goals and objectives
- Communicate with community leadership on all services
- Function as “go-to” person for questions regarding any of EmpowerMe’s service lines
- Ensure team leads are submitting summaries of residents currently on therapy caseload to community leadership
- Support team leads as they participate in community activities, such as tours, at-risk meetings, and in-services
- Schedule and conduct operational reviews with all customers on a quarterly basis
- Provide training to team members and community staff as requested

Coordinate strategic planning and implementation of organizational practices within the company
- Collaborate with RVP to develop annual area-wide budgets for individual communities, including visit targets for individual therapists/therapy teams and other key performance indicators
- Identify, develop, and execute opportunities for growth within assigned communities and partnerships
- Participate in referral source visits with community salesperson as directed by RVP
- Collaborate with Human Resources regarding employee relations and conduct employee discipline sessions as needed
- Attend corporate-sponsored meetings and training sessions as required
- Actively participate in networking and community-based group(s) that are relevant to company business
- Align him/herself with company vision for service quality and value creation

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 10+ years of relevant experience and five years of experience in senior care communities, with proven leadership and organizational skills
- If applicable state licensure(s) is required, license must be in good standing
- In-depth knowledge of Medicare payment systems and EHR/EMR systems
- A passion for working with older adults while providing the best care possible
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in staffing, leading, developing, and retaining strong organizational teams
- Superior analytical, project management, and organizational skills
- The ability to remain calm in stressful situations, be flexible, and work well despite interruptions
- Exceptional multi-tasking skills
- Passion for achieving results through self-motivation, initiative, and proactive orientation
- A sense of professional curiosity, desire to learn new things, and to find/recommend solutions to problems
- Driven to achieve and exceed goals, and the ability to motivate others to do the same
- A high level of professionalism, customer service, and friendliness, and the ability to effectively perform conflict intervention and resolution
- Respect for the principles of patient rights and confidentiality
- Knowledge and understanding of insurance credentialing requirements, HIPAA, and PHI guidelines
- Demonstrated competence in regulatory compliance
- It is the expectation that the individual gains a solid understanding of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy for seniors, Diagnostic Laboratory services, Pharmacy operations, the role of the Nurse Practitioner, as well as a general knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care
- Must exhibit and promote a high level of professionalism, customer service, curiosity, and friendliness in all interactions with employees, residents, and visitors throughout the organization
- Willingness to be mentored
- Ability to deliver truthful and unfiltered information to subordinates, supervisors, and company owners
- Ability to travel with overnight stays as needed
Computer Skills:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. An individual should possess the physical ability to lift/move 50lbs, maintain a stationary position, move freely, operate equipment, ascend/descend freely, position self to reach equipment above or below average standing height, and communicate with employees throughout the organization. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; sit; stoop; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000 annually
