Corporate Financial Analyst Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a corporate financial analyst in Delaware?
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field is the standard entry point for corporate financial analyst roles in Delaware. No state-issued license is required to work in this role, but Delaware employers in financial services and pharmaceuticals consistently favor candidates who hold or are pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst credential through the CFA Institute. Pairing that credential with hands-on experience in financial modeling or GAAP reporting positions candidates competitively across Wilmington's dense corporate corridor.
How much do corporate financial analysts make in Delaware?
Corporate financial analysts in Delaware earn a median of about $101,800 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $68,530 for the lowest 10% to over $168,450 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire corporate financial analysts in Delaware?
Delaware corporate financial analyst roles are posted by JPMorganChase, Solenis, and Epic and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's status as a leading corporate incorporation state means many national and multinational firms maintain finance teams here even when their consumer brand is associated with another state.
Which Delaware cities have the most corporate financial analyst jobs?
Wilmington, Newark, and New Castle account for the largest share of corporate financial analyst openings in Delaware. Wilmington dominates because it serves as the operational headquarters for major banks, credit card companies, and specialty finance firms, while Newark and Dover draw demand from university-affiliated institutions, state government finance offices, and pharmaceutical corporate centers located along the I-95 corridor.
Are there remote corporate financial analyst jobs in Delaware?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 31% of corporate financial analyst openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how well the analytical and reporting nature of this work translates to distributed settings. Financial planning, budgeting, and variance analysis functions are among the sub-areas most commonly offered on a remote or hybrid basis by Delaware employers.
How can I get hired as a corporate financial analyst in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a financial analyst associate or junior analyst role at one of Wilmington's large banking or specialty finance operations, where rotational analyst programs at institutions such as JPMorgan Chase and M&T Bank bring in recent graduates each year. Adjacent roles in accounting, audit, or financial reporting at Delaware-incorporated corporations often transition into dedicated analyst positions after a year or two. Completing the first level of the CFA exam before applying gives candidates a measurable edge in Delaware's competitive financial services market.
Where can I find and apply to corporate financial analyst jobs in Delaware?
You can find and apply to corporate financial analyst jobs in Delaware on Migrate Mate, which lists current Delaware openings across industries and experience levels. Search the listings to find roles that match your background and apply directly to the ones that fit.
