About the role:
As a Global Accounting Intern you will provide support to the Global Accounting & Close team with the closing administration functions by assisting with preparing journal entries, cost distributions and assuring completion to journal entry closing check lists for the Global Accounting & Close organization.
You will report to the Accounting Manager and be located at Cranberry. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support with the preparation of the closing checklist in Blackline and the accounting calendar
- Help post legacy non-SAP entity's trial balance feeds from non-US locations into SAP including mapping of legacy accounts
- Help prepare Blackline account reconciliations and journal entries for accounts under Global Accounting & Close organization
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in existing business practices and create standard operating procedures documentation
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent
- Completed Sophomore year of college

Does a Global Director CPT role qualify if the position is partly remote and partly international travel?
CPT authorization is tied to your U.S.-based employer and the work performed within the scope of your curriculum. Travel abroad during an authorized CPT period doesn't automatically invalidate it, but any work physically performed outside the U.S. doesn't count toward CPT hours. Confirm the domestic work component with your DSO before accepting an offer that includes significant international assignments.
Can I do CPT for a Global Director role at a startup with no prior visa sponsorship history?

Is there a limit on how many hours per week I can work as a Global Director on CPT during the academic year?
Part-time CPT is defined as 20 hours or fewer per week during an active semester. Full-time CPT, which is more than 20 hours per week, is permitted but carries a consequence: 12 or more months of full-time CPT eliminates your OPT eligibility entirely. For a Global Director role, which often demands full engagement, coordinate the authorization period carefully with your DSO to preserve post-graduation options.
How do I verify that a Global Director role meets the prevailing wage requirement for future visa filings?
CPT itself doesn't require a prevailing wage filing, but if the employer plans to sponsor you for H-1B or PERM later, the salary must meet DOL wage standards for that occupational category.
