LOCATION
This is an open and continuous posting for internship positions for multiple locations throughout the Michigan Division of Nutrien Ag Solutions (Bangor, Bear Lake, Breckenridge, Brown City, Greenville, Sparta, Henderson, Linwood, Moline, Munger, Owendale, Sandusky, Hart, Ubly, Woodbury).
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is for a 2027 Summer Internship which will last approximately 12 weeks.
What you will do:
- Agronomy and/or Operations focused internship to learn the ins and out of a Nutrien Ag Solutions retail location
- Have direct responsibility relating to tissue sampling, soil sampling, sales and/or other related tasks at the location
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
What you will bring:
- Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year Higher Education degree program in Agriculture or a related program with an interest in Agriculture
- Must have a graduation date of August 2027 or later

Does a Retail Supervisor job qualify for CPT authorization?
It can, but your DSO has to establish a direct link between the supervisory duties and your enrolled coursework. Roles involving team management, merchandise planning, or store operations typically align with business, retail management, or supply chain programs. Purely cashier-level work rebranded as supervision won't satisfy CPT's integral curriculum requirement under SEVP regulations.
Can I work full-time as a Retail Supervisor on CPT?
Yes, full-time CPT is permitted, but using it for 12 months or more permanently eliminates your OPT eligibility. Many F-1 students in retail management programs opt for part-time CPT during the academic year to preserve OPT for post-graduation employment. Confirm your school's definition of full-time hours, which may differ from what the employer considers full-time.
How do I find Retail Supervisor employers familiar with CPT?

Does working as a Retail Supervisor on CPT count toward H-1B specialty occupation requirements?
Retail supervision is typically classified as a non-specialty occupation under USCIS standards because it doesn't require a specific bachelor's degree in a directly related field. CPT experience in this role strengthens your resume but is unlikely to support an H-1B visa petition for a Retail Supervisor position specifically.
