- Completion of the eighth grade.
- One year of cleaning and custodial experience.
- Valid Maryland Noncommercial Class C or equivalent driver's license may be required for some positions.

- Knowledge of basic safety practices and procedures.
- Skill in the operation and use power and hand cleaning tools and equipment.
- Ability to train and interact effectively with others.
- Ability to read, write, and to complete and maintain routine forms.
