Customer Solutions Engineer Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer solutions engineer in Delaware?
Customer solutions engineers in Delaware do not require a state-issued license, so entry centers on education and demonstrated technical skill. Most employers look for a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering. Candidates who build hands-on experience with cloud platforms and enterprise software, earn vendor certifications from companies like Salesforce or AWS, and complete internships with Delaware's financial or life sciences technology employers tend to move quickly through the hiring process.
Which companies hire customer solutions engineers in Delaware?
Companies currently hiring customer solutions engineers in Delaware include JPMorganChase, CVS Health, and PNC Financial Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's concentration of financial technology firms, specialty chemical companies, and healthcare technology providers means that enterprise software vendors and managed service organizations with regional offices in Wilmington and Newark are consistently among the most active hirers.
Which Delaware cities have the most customer solutions engineer jobs?
Wilmington, Delaware, and Newark hold the most customer solutions engineer openings in Delaware. Wilmington anchors the market given its density of financial institutions, fintech firms, and corporate headquarters, while Newark benefits from proximity to the University of Delaware's technology ecosystem and a growing cluster of SaaS and life sciences companies, and Dover draws openings tied to state government technology contracts and regional enterprise accounts.
Are there remote customer solutions engineer jobs in Delaware?
Yes, and more than most fields, because customer solutions engineering is fundamentally a desk-based, communication-driven role that translates well to distributed work. About 57% of customer solutions engineer openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly employers in the state have embraced flexible arrangements. The portions of the role most commonly performed remotely are product demonstrations, onboarding calls, and technical documentation reviews.
How can I get hired as a customer solutions engineer in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a technical support or customer success associate role at one of Delaware's enterprise software vendors or financial technology companies. Large Wilmington-area employers frequently post associate solutions consultant and junior technical account manager openings designed for recent graduates. A Salesforce Administrator certification or an AWS Cloud Practitioner credential gives candidates a concrete edge when applying, as does a portfolio showing any implementation project, even a personal or academic one.
