Customer Success Director Jobs in Boston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a customer success director job in Boston?
Focus your search on Boston's Seaport District and Back Bay, where SaaS platforms, healthtech firms, and fintech companies concentrate the most customer success leadership hiring. Candidates who demonstrate enterprise account retention experience and cross-functional alignment with product and sales teams stand out in this market. Familiarity with Boston's life sciences and digital health sectors gives you a meaningful edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire customer success directors in Boston?
Companies currently hiring customer success directors in Boston include Hi Marley, Lumafield, and CoLab Software, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Boston's employer mix skews toward B2B software companies, healthtech platforms, and professional services firms with large enterprise client portfolios.
Are there remote customer success director jobs in Boston?
Yes, though availability varies since customer success director roles often require executive-level client relationship management that many employers prefer to conduct in person. About 71% of customer success director openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with fully remote roles most common at mature SaaS companies. Strategic and renewal-focused responsibilities tend to be the most remote-friendly portions of the role.
How can I get a customer success director job in Boston with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is moving up from a senior customer success manager role at one of Boston's mid-size SaaS or healthtech companies, where internal promotion into director-level positions is common. Boston's strong startup ecosystem in the Seaport and Cambridge areas regularly creates early leadership openings for candidates who can own a book of business. Building experience with enterprise renewals and executive business reviews positions you competitively for that first director title.
