Customer Success Engineer Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer success engineer in Minnesota?
Most Minnesota employers hire customer success engineers with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering, combined with hands-on experience in technical support or SaaS implementations. There is no state-issued license required for this role in Minnesota. Building proficiency in enterprise platforms common to Minnesota's tech and healthcare IT sectors, and earning vendor certifications from companies like Salesforce or AWS, strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
Which companies hire customer success engineers in Minnesota?
Employers hiring customer success engineers in Minnesota right now include Nextern, Edmentum, and Marco Technologies, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Minnesota's concentration of healthcare technology, financial services software, and enterprise logistics firms means demand for customer success engineers tends to be steady across mid-size and large organizations.
Which Minnesota cities have the most customer success engineer jobs?
Minneapolis, Saint Cloud, and Minnesota have the most customer success engineer openings in Minnesota. The Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro drives the majority of listings due to its dense cluster of enterprise software firms, healthcare IT companies, and Fortune 500 headquarters, while Rochester benefits from the presence of large health system operations and technology-driven medical organizations anchoring hiring in that corridor.
Are there remote customer success engineer jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and more than most fields. Customer success engineering is fundamentally a desk-based, communication-driven role, making remote and hybrid arrangements common. About 75% of customer success engineer openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly this role has shifted away from on-site requirements. The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a technical support, implementation specialist, or junior solutions analyst role at a Minnesota SaaS or enterprise software company. Building familiarity with CRM platforms and pursuing a vendor certification, such as Salesforce Administrator, gives candidates a clear edge when applying to these entry points.
