Data Entry Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data entry in Utah?
Most data entry positions in Utah require a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrated typing proficiency, with no state-issued license needed for the role itself. Employers in healthcare settings may require familiarity with medical terminology or HIPAA compliance training. Candidates who complete a certificate in office administration, medical billing, or business technology from institutions like Salt Lake Community College or Utah Valley University gain a practical edge in the local market.
Which companies hire data entrys in Utah?
Utah data entry roles are posted by Dyno Nobel, Motorsport, and Guardian Pharmacy and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Utah's mix of large healthcare systems, state government agencies, and financial services firms creates consistent, year-round demand for data entry professionals.
Which Utah cities have the most data entry jobs?
Salt Lake City, South Jordan, and South Salt Lake have the most data entry openings in Utah. Salt Lake City anchors the market as the hub for state government offices, major hospital networks, and financial institutions, while Provo benefits from a growing tech and business services sector and Ogden supports steady demand through manufacturing and logistics companies headquartered along the Wasatch Front.
Are there remote data entry jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields, since data entry work is inherently desk-based and requires only a computer and internet connection. About 25% of data entry openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how well-suited the role is to flexible arrangements. Transaction processing, records management, and insurance or financial data entry positions are the most commonly offered as fully remote roles.
How can I get hired as a data entry in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Utah is applying for administrative assistant or office clerk roles, which routinely involve data entry duties and serve as direct stepping stones. Large Utah employers like Intermountain Health and state government agencies hire entry-level records clerks and administrative support staff who learn data systems on the job. Completing a short office technology or medical administrative certificate at Salt Lake Community College strengthens applications, and strong typing test results often matter more than a work history in early-career hiring.
Where can I find and apply to data entry jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to data entry jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings from employers actively hiring right now. Find roles that fit your experience and availability, then apply directly to each position without needing to go through any other platform.
