DATA ENTRY PHARMACY TECHNICIANS - JENNERSTOWN
Weekly rotating shifts:
8 AM - 4 PM and 9 AM - 5 PM with an occasional 11 AM - 7 PM shift required.
One Saturday shift every three weeks
JOB SUMMARY: In compliance with Company, site, and local, state, and federal rules, the data entry pharmacy technician begins the workflow to accurately, efficiently, and safely provide prescription medications to populations in one or more long-term care facilities in PA and/or nationally.
Each data entry pharmacy technician is in charge of one or more sites. All sites have a daily cut-off time by which all prescription requests must be processed so that the packing and shipping departments can complete their processes. Production and error metrics are collected and viewed to guide operational and staffing decisions.
In order to succeed in this important job, we require evidence of:
· Touch typing experience
· Reliable work attendance and punctuality
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work quickly and accurately
· Ability to work under time constraints and with multiple priorities
· Accountability for personal work goals as well as the team’s work goals
· Rapport building with medical and/or business professionals
· Professional presentation and business etiquette usage in all manner of communication
The ideal candidate will have a current valid PA pharmacy technician certificate and experience as a data entry pharmacy technician.
Applicants with a current valid PA pharmacy technician certification will get priority consideration. Applicants without a current valid PA pharmacy technician certificate may still be considered. However, certification is required before one can work as a technician.
Medical experience may be helpful if that experience provided a familiarity with medications.
This job requires the incumbent to work at their station almost 100% of the workday. Techs use special software to process orders and MS Outlook and Company phones to communicate with site representatives. Techs may choose to either sit or stand while working.
The starting pay rate is considered competitive.
GENERAL COMPANY INFORMATION:
