Data Entry Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data entry in Massachusetts?
Data entry work in Massachusetts does not require a state-issued license or certification. Most employers expect a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrated keyboarding accuracy. Candidates strengthen their prospects by completing a certificate program in office administration or medical billing through a Massachusetts community college such as Bunker Hill or Quinsigamond, and by building proficiency in commonly used database and spreadsheet tools before applying.
Which companies hire data entrys in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts data entry roles are posted by Blount Fine Foods, Specialty Rx, and CARVANA and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Massachusetts's large healthcare networks, state government agencies, and financial services firms are among the most consistent sources of ongoing data entry openings.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most data entry jobs?
Boston, Fall River, and Bedford lead Massachusetts in data entry openings. Boston's concentration of major hospital systems, insurance carriers, and state government offices drives the bulk of postings, while Worcester and Springfield reflect strong regional healthcare and public-sector employment that generates steady demand for data processing and records management support.
Are there remote data entry jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, and more than most fields. Data entry is well suited to remote work because the role relies on software access rather than a physical location. About 50% of data entry openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how widely employers have adopted distributed work for this function. Financial data processing and insurance claims entry tend to have the highest share of fully remote postings.
How can I get hired as a data entry in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for administrative assistant or office clerk roles at Massachusetts healthcare systems or state agencies, which routinely hire candidates without prior data entry experience and provide on-the-job training. Mass General Brigham and Commonwealth of Massachusetts agencies regularly post entry-level clerical and records roles that serve as a direct bridge. Completing a short office technology certificate at a Massachusetts community college and demonstrating accurate keyboarding gives candidates a measurable edge over applicants with no credentials.
Where can I find and apply to data entry jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to data entry jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current Massachusetts openings. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and skill set, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
