Data Entry Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data entry in Georgia?
Georgia does not require a state-issued license for data entry work, so the path centers on demonstrating measurable skills. Most Georgia employers expect a high school diploma or GED, strong keyboarding accuracy, and proficiency in spreadsheet and database tools. Completing a community college certificate in office technology or medical records through schools like Georgia Piedmont Technical College can strengthen an application, particularly for healthcare or government data entry roles.
Which companies hire data entrys in Georgia?
Employers hiring data entrys in Georgia right now include Panasonic, Arcetyp, and Ser Familia, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's mix of large healthcare systems, financial technology companies, and logistics operations creates consistent year-round demand for data entry staff across the state.
Which Georgia cities have the most data entry jobs?
Atlanta, Woodstock, and Macon have the most data entry openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it is home to major corporate headquarters, hospital networks, and government agencies that all run large data operations, while Savannah's port logistics sector and Augusta's healthcare and defense contracting base generate steady openings outside the metro.
Are there remote data entry jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields, because data entry work is inherently desk-based and easily performed off-site. About 25% of data entry openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how well the role adapts to distributed work. Medical coding data entry and financial data processing positions tend to offer the highest share of fully remote arrangements among Georgia listings.
How can I get hired as a data entry in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to administrative or data support roles at Georgia's large healthcare systems and government agencies, which regularly onboard candidates without prior data entry experience. Employers like Grady Health System and state agencies under the Georgia Department of Human Services often list entry-level data associate roles designed for new candidates. Earning a medical billing or office administration certificate from a Georgia technical college adds a concrete credential, and moving laterally from customer service or receptionist roles at the same employer is a common way in.
Where can I find and apply to data entry jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to data entry jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
