Delivery Manager Jobs in Michigan: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a delivery manager in Michigan?
Most Michigan employers hire delivery managers with a bachelor's degree in business, information technology, supply chain, or engineering alongside demonstrated project or program management experience. No state-issued license is required for this role in Michigan. Earning a Project Management Professional credential through the Project Management Institute, or a Certified Scrum Master designation, substantially strengthens candidacy, particularly with automotive, healthcare, and technology employers concentrated in the Detroit and Ann Arbor markets.
How much do delivery managers make in Michigan?
Delivery managers in Michigan earn a median of about $99,100 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $61,720 for the lowest 10% to over $169,020 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire delivery managers in Michigan?
Employers hiring delivery managers in Michigan right now include Stryker, Ford Motor Company, and HDR, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Michigan's deep automotive and healthcare sectors mean delivery manager roles here often blend supply chain coordination or IT project delivery with industry-specific compliance and vendor management requirements.
Which Michigan cities have the most delivery manager jobs?
Dearborn, Ann Arbor, and Kalamazoo have the most delivery manager openings in Michigan. Detroit leads because of the region's concentration of automotive manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, and large healthcare systems, while Grand Rapids draws openings from its growing technology services and medical device sectors, and Ann Arbor's university-affiliated institutions and software companies contribute steadily to demand.
Are there remote delivery manager jobs in Michigan?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 89% of delivery manager openings tied to Michigan are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role centers on coordination, communication, and reporting rather than physical presence. IT delivery and agile program management roles are the most likely to be offered fully remote, while roles tied to manufacturing operations or last-mile logistics typically require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a delivery manager in Michigan with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a junior delivery or project coordinator role from an adjacent position such as business analyst, operations coordinator, or IT support specialist. Large Michigan employers including automotive OEMs and regional healthcare networks regularly post associate project manager openings that serve as structured entry points. Completing a Google Project Management Certificate or enrolling in a PMI-recognized program while working in a coordinator role builds credibility, and demonstrating scrum or agile exposure gives candidates a measurable edge with Michigan's technology and manufacturing employers.
Where can I find and apply to delivery manager jobs in Michigan?
You can find and apply to delivery manager jobs in Michigan on Migrate Mate, which lists current Michigan openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and location, and apply directly to each employer without creating an account or signing up.
