Dietitian Jobs in Nevada: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a dietitian in Nevada?
Nevada requires dietitians to hold an active state license issued by the Nevada State Board of Health. To qualify, you must earn at least a bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition from an accredited program, complete a supervised dietetic internship, and pass the Registration Examination for Dietitians administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Once you hold the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential, you can apply for the Nevada license through the Board.
How much do dietitians make in Nevada?
Dietitians in Nevada earn a median of about $69,030 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $35,820 for the lowest 10% to over $101,400 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire dietitians in Nevada?
Nevada dietitian roles are posted by CommonSpirit Health, Dignity Health, and DaVita and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nevada's combination of major hospital systems and large hospitality and resort operators means openings appear across both acute clinical settings and non-traditional wellness environments.
Which Nevada cities have the most dietitian jobs?
Las Vegas, Henderson, and Carson City have the most dietitian openings in Nevada. Las Vegas drives the largest share of postings given its dense concentration of hospital systems, outpatient clinics, and resort wellness programs, while Reno and Henderson contribute meaningful volume through regional medical centers and the growing number of health-focused employers anchored in those communities.
Are there remote dietitian jobs in Nevada?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely analytical fields because much of dietitian work involves direct patient assessment and hands-on counseling. About 0% of dietitian openings tied to Nevada are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and the roles most likely to be remote are telehealth nutrition counseling, corporate wellness consulting, and eating disorder coaching positions.
How can I get hired as a dietitian in Nevada with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to dietetic internship programs and new-graduate rotational roles at Nevada's major health systems, such as Valley Health System and Renown Health, both of which bring on early-career dietitians through structured clinical programs. Candidates with backgrounds in food service supervision, health coaching, or nutrition education have a strong lateral route into associate dietitian and diet technician roles. Holding your Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential and a current Nevada license before you apply puts you ahead of candidates still completing those steps.
Where can I find and apply to dietitian jobs in Nevada?
You can find and apply to dietitian jobs in Nevada on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nevada openings. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and preferred location, and apply directly to the positions that fit.
