Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Business Office Manager
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Your Australian bachelor's degree must map to the specific field the role requires, not just any degree. A business administration or management qualification is typically expected for Business Office Manager positions to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation criteria.
Target employers with dedicated HR or finance teams
Larger healthcare systems, university networks, and multi-site professional services firms employ Business Office Managers at scale and have HR infrastructure to manage LCA filings and E-3 paperwork without treating your sponsorship as a novel process.
Search for roles using Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service
Use Migrate Mate to find Business Office Manager roles posted by employers familiar with E-3 sponsorship, then let Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handle the LCA, DS-160, and consulate preparation from offer through approval.
Clarify the LCA filing timeline before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before you can attend your consulate appointment. Confirm the employer understands this sequence and can move within two to three weeks of your offer acceptance.
Distinguish your operational scope from general management
Business Office Manager roles in healthcare, higher education, or legal services typically require specialized knowledge, which strengthens the specialty occupation case. Be specific about revenue cycle management, compliance functions, or multi-department oversight in your resume and offer letter.
Prepare your Australian credentials for U.S. employer review
Have your academic transcripts ready in English and confirm your three-year Australian bachelor's degree is positioned as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree. A credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization can resolve any ambiguity before an employer raises concerns.

Find Business Office Manager JobsBusiness Office Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Business Office Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search Business Office Manager roles with E-3 sponsorship in the U.S. Standard job boards surface positions without filtering for sponsorship availability, so you often spend significant time screening employers who won't support an E-3. Migrate Mate's search surfaces roles from employers already familiar with the visa, reducing that friction considerably.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Business Office Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, healthcare administration, or finance. Roles where any degree or a diploma would suffice are harder to support. The offer letter and job description should explicitly state the degree requirement and the specialized duties, particularly if the role sits within a regulated sector like healthcare or higher education.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Business Office Manager roles?
The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens, but it carries no annual lottery and no cap pressure, so qualified candidates can apply at any point in the year with a certified LCA and a job offer. The H-1B is subject to an annual lottery with roughly one-in-four selection odds for most registrants. For a Business Office Manager role that qualifies under both, the E-3 is the faster and more predictable path if you hold Australian citizenship.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Business Office Manager?
Yes, but you need to restart the process with the new employer from the beginning. That means a new LCA filed with DOL, a new DS-160, and a new consulate appointment or a change of status application if you're already in the U.S. There's no portability mechanism equivalent to the H-1B's AC21 provisions, so you should not resign until the new employer's LCA is certified and your appointment is confirmed.
