Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Curriculum Coordinator
Translate your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree in education is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 purposes. Get a formal credential evaluation before interviews so you can address degree equivalency questions confidently.
Target school districts and curriculum-focused nonprofits
K-12 districts, charter management organizations, and education nonprofits regularly hire Curriculum Coordinators and have HR teams familiar with specialty occupation sponsorship. EdTech companies building instructional content are also active E-3 sponsors in this field.
Frame your role as a specialty occupation in applications
E-3 approval depends on the position requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field, not just any degree. Your resume and cover letter should explicitly tie the coordinator duties to instructional design, curriculum theory, or a directly relevant discipline.
Confirm your employer will file the LCA before accepting
The Labor Condition Application is a DOL requirement your employer must complete before you can apply at the consulate. Ask the hiring team directly who manages their immigration filings and whether they've sponsored E-3 workers before to avoid delays after you've accepted an offer.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have a signed offer letter, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from LCA submission through consulate appointment preparation, reducing the administrative burden on both you and your new employer.
Request a two-year E-3 validity period at your consulate interview
Consular officers can issue E-3 visas for up to two years, but the duration isn't automatic. Bring documentation showing the role is ongoing rather than project-based, which supports a full two-year grant and a simpler first renewal cycle.

Find Curriculum Coordinator JobsCurriculum Coordinator E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Curriculum Coordinator jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Curriculum Coordinator roles with confirmed E-3 sponsorship. Many education employers are open to E-3 hiring but don't advertise it in job postings, so filtering specifically for E-3-willing employers saves significant time. Migrate Mate surfaces roles where sponsorship is already part of the hiring process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Curriculum Coordinator role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases. The E-3 requires the position to normally demand at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as education, instructional design, or curriculum development. Roles tied to developing, evaluating, or overseeing academic programs at schools, universities, or EdTech organizations consistently meet this standard. Generalist coordinator titles with no degree requirement in a specific field can face scrutiny.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Curriculum Coordinators?
The E-3 is significantly more practical for Australian professionals in this field. Unlike the H-1B, the E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you can apply at any time of year once you have a job offer. H-1B selection is random and takes roughly a year from registration to start date. For Curriculum Coordinators who have a firm offer, the E-3 can move from application to consulate appointment in a matter of weeks.
Can I change employers or move to a different school district on an E-3?
Yes, but you need to restart the E-3 process with the new employer. Your current E-3 is tied to the original employer's Labor Condition Application. The new employer files a fresh LCA with DOL, and you attend a new consulate interview or file for a change of status if you're already in the U.S. There's no portability provision that lets you transfer the existing visa to a new employer automatically.
