Translate your Australian credentials early
U.S. hiring managers may not recognize Australian university grading systems or three-year bachelor's degrees. Request a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator before applying so your qualifications map cleanly to the E-3 visa specialty occupation requirement.
Search for employers with LCA filing history
Target companies that have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for supply chain or operations roles. Prior LCA activity signals a finance or HR team that already understands the DOL certification process and won't stall at the sponsorship conversation.
Find verified E-3 sponsorship roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Demand Planning Manager listings by confirmed E-3 sponsorship history, so you're not guessing which employers will engage. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once you have an offer.
Frame sponsorship as a hiring advantage at the offer stage
E-3 sponsorship requires no lottery, no prevailing wage lottery risk, and the employer-side LCA typically certifies within seven business days. Presenting these facts during offer negotiation removes the most common objections before they become deal-breakers.
Align your job title to DOL-recognized occupation codes
The LCA your employer files must reference a Standard Occupational Classification code. Confirm your offered role maps to SOC 13-1081 (Logisticians) or 11-3071 (Transportation, Storage, and Distribution Managers) before signing an offer letter to avoid LCA complications.
Prepare demand planning work samples before interviewing
Consular officers assess whether your role genuinely requires a specialist degree. Bringing documented examples of forecast modeling, inventory optimization projects, or cross-functional planning outputs strengthens the specialty occupation case at your Australian consulate interview.
E-3 Visa Demand Planning Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Demand Planning Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals seeking E-3 sponsorship, with Demand Planning Manager listings filtered by employers who have actively engaged with the E-3 process. Searching general job boards surfaces roles where sponsorship willingness is unconfirmed, which costs time at a critical stage of your job search.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Demand Planning Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes. The E-3 specialty occupation requirement is satisfied when the role normally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Demand planning positions typically require degrees in supply chain management, business analytics, operations, or a related discipline. Roles where any general business degree qualifies may face more scrutiny during LCA or consulate review.
How does the E-3 visa compare to H-1B for Demand Planning Manager roles?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been fully used, so there is no lottery. H-1B visa requires entering a random selection process with roughly a one-in-three chance of registration. For Demand Planning Managers, E-3 means a qualified offer can proceed directly to LCA filing and a consulate appointment, typically within four to eight weeks of the offer being signed.
Can I change employers or move into a director-level role while on an E-3?
Yes to both, but each requires a new LCA and, in most cases, a new visa stamp if the job duties or employer change materially. Stepping up from Demand Planning Manager to a director title mid-status is not automatic. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL before your start date in the new role, and you'll need to attend a consulate appointment if your current stamp is tied to the prior employer.
