Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Distribution Manager
Frame your degree for U.S. specialty occupation standards
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees in supply chain, logistics, or business are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees. Document your credential equivalency before applying so employers don't raise specialty occupation concerns during the LCA stage.
Target employers with active import or export operations
Companies with cross-border supply chains, third-party logistics contracts, or distribution center networks are structured to handle visa sponsorship. Search DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway disclosure data to confirm which employers have filed LCAs for logistics and operations roles.
Get the LCA filed before your consulate appointment
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before you can book your visa interview. Most delays happen here, not at the consulate. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so the sequence doesn't stall your start date.
Prepare an org chart showing direct reports and scope
Consular officers assessing specialty occupation for distribution roles want evidence that the position requires a specific degree, not just managerial experience. An org chart showing budget authority, vendor relationships, and team structure strengthens your case at the interview.
Address dual intent directly if you're renewing repeatedly
The E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, meaning officers can question immigrant intent if you've renewed several times or your employer has begun green card discussions. Have a clear, factual answer about your current status and near-term plans before entering the interview.
Confirm your job offer letter meets USCIS wage requirements
The offer letter must state a salary at or above the DOL prevailing wage for the role and location. Distribution Manager wages vary significantly by metro area, so your employer should verify the correct wage level before issuing the offer to avoid LCA complications.

Find Distribution Manager JobsDistribution Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Distribution Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Use Migrate Mate to search Distribution Manager roles filtered by E-3 visa sponsorship. Most general job boards don't let you filter by visa type, so you end up cold-applying to roles where sponsorship was never on the table. Migrate Mate surfaces employers who are already set up to sponsor, which cuts out the early-stage uncertainty.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Distribution Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It qualifies when the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as supply chain management, logistics, or business administration. Roles focused purely on warehouse supervision or operations without a degree requirement may not meet the specialty occupation threshold. The job description and offer letter both need to reflect the degree requirement clearly.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Distribution Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no cap, so you can apply as soon as you have a qualifying job offer. The H-1B is subject to an annual lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate, which means most applicants wait years for a slot. For Australian nationals in distribution and logistics, the E-3 is a direct path where H-1B is a gamble.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Distribution Manager?
Yes, but you need to restart the process with the new employer. They must file a new LCA with DOL and you'll need to apply for a new E-3 visa at a U.S. consulate in Australia before starting the new role. You can't simply transfer the visa. Build enough lead time into your transition so the new LCA is certified before you resign.
