E-3 Visa Epic Analyst Jobs
Epic Analyst roles in U.S. health systems qualify as E-3 specialty occupations, requiring a bachelor's degree in health informatics, information systems, or a related field. Australian professionals can secure E-3 visa sponsorship without competing in the H-1B lottery, making direct applications to Epic-licensed health systems a practical and repeatable path.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Epic Analyst
Align your degree to Epic's specialty occupation definition
USCIS requires your degree field to directly relate to the Epic Analyst role. Health informatics, information systems, or clinical informatics degrees map cleanly. A general IT or nursing degree needs supporting documentation showing the field-to-role connection.
Target health systems with active Epic installations
Epic-licensed hospitals and integrated delivery networks are your primary employer pool. Large academic medical centers and regional health systems running Epic's EHR suite regularly sponsor E-3 visa workers because the skill set is specialized and local supply is limited.
Request LCA filing before your start date
The DOL must certify your Labor Condition Application before your consulate appointment. Ask your employer to begin the LCA process immediately after the offer letter is signed so certification doesn't delay your E-3 interview scheduling.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end support
E-3 paperwork errors at the LCA or consulate stage cost weeks of delays. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles LCA preparation, visa documentation, and consulate appointment prep so you arrive with a complete, verified application package.
Clarify your Epic certification status with each employer
Epic certifications like Cadence, Resolute, or Willow are often listed as preferred rather than required. Confirm with each employer whether your existing certifications satisfy the role before relying on training timelines to fill credential gaps post-arrival.
Search specifically for E-3 sponsorship using Migrate Mate
Generic job searches surface roles without filtering for E-3 sponsorship readiness. Migrate Mate lets you search Epic Analyst openings by employers who have active E-3 or H-1B sponsorship history, cutting out the guesswork early in your job search.
E-3 Visa Epic Analyst: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Epic Analyst jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended starting point for Australians searching Epic Analyst roles with confirmed E-3 sponsorship. The platform filters by employers with active visa sponsorship history, which narrows your list to health systems already familiar with the LCA and E-3 consular process rather than those encountering it for the first time.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Epic Analyst role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes. USCIS classifies Epic Analyst positions as specialty occupations when the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as health informatics, information systems, or clinical informatics. The key is establishing that a theoretical and practical body of knowledge underlies the position, which Epic implementation and optimization work typically satisfies.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Australian Epic Analysts?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual cap that has never been fully used, meaning there is no lottery and no wait for a registration result. An H-1B application enters a randomized lottery with selection rates well below 50%. For an Australian Epic Analyst, the E-3 is the faster, more predictable route to U.S. employment without annual competition for a slot.
Can I transfer my E-3 if I move between Epic Analyst roles or health systems?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and provide updated E-3 documentation before you begin work. There is no portability rule equivalent to H-1B's AC21 provision. You can continue working for the new employer once the LCA is certified and you have the supporting documents, but you cannot start prior to that step.
