Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Field Manager
Match your degree to the role
E-3 specialty occupation requires your degree field to directly relate to Field Manager duties. A construction management, civil engineering, or operations management degree strengthens your case far more than a general business qualification.
Document your supervisory experience thoroughly
U.S. consular officers assess whether the role genuinely requires a degree. Bring performance reviews, org charts, and project scope documents showing you led multi-trade teams or managed contractor compliance, not just daily site tasks.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway to identify companies that have sponsored E-3 or H-1B workers in field operations roles. Employers already familiar with the LCA process move faster and are less likely to hesitate at the sponsorship conversation.
Raise E-3 sponsorship early in interviews
Field Manager roles often involve fast hiring cycles tied to project start dates. Confirm the employer is willing to file an LCA before the second interview round so a tight project timeline doesn't collapse the offer after negotiations.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA
The LCA must be certified by the DOL before your consulate appointment can proceed. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so the process doesn't stall while your employer figures out the filing steps.
Prepare for consulate questions about field site locations
E-3 approvals are tied to the employer and worksite on the LCA. If your Field Manager role covers multiple project sites, ensure each location is reflected accurately in your filing documents before your Australian consulate appointment.

Find Field Manager JobsField Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Field Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. You can filter Field Manager positions by employers who have E-3 or H-1B filing history, which tells you upfront which companies are already set up to sponsor rather than requiring you to educate the hiring team from scratch.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Field Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the position is defined. Field Manager roles qualify when the employer requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as construction management, civil engineering, or project management. Roles that accept any degree or substitute years of experience for education without a degree requirement are harder to support. The job description language matters significantly at the consulate.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Field Manager roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian nationals and has no lottery, so you can apply directly once you have a job offer and a certified LCA, typically within a few weeks. The H-1B requires entering an annual lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate and a wait of up to a year before you can start. For Field Managers tied to specific project timelines, the E-3's predictability is a significant practical advantage.
What happens to my E-3 status if my Field Manager role moves to a different project site?
The LCA is tied to the worksite listed at the time of filing. If your employer reassigns you to a substantially different location, a new LCA may be required before you begin working at that site. Short-term placements and rotational project work can trigger this requirement, so confirm the scope of covered worksites with your employer before your visa is issued.
