Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Finance Analyst
Translate your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
Your Australian three-year bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 visa specialty occupation purposes. Get a credential evaluation ready before interviews so employers can confirm USCIS eligibility without delay.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Not every firm knows the E-3 exists. Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to find companies that have recently certified LCAs for Finance Analyst roles, these employers already understand the sponsorship process.
Frame E-3 sponsorship as low-effort for finance employers
The E-3 requires no lottery and no USCIS petition filing, just a certified LCA from DOL and a consulate appointment. For a finance employer, that removes the biggest objection: E-3 sponsorship is faster and cheaper than an H-1B visa by a significant margin.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA and paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This keeps the process off your employer's plate and reduces the risk of errors that could delay your consulate appointment.
Verify your job description meets specialty occupation language
A Finance Analyst role qualifies for the E-3 only if the position description requires a degree in a specific field. If your offer letter says 'bachelor's preferred' rather than 'required,' ask HR to revise it before the LCA is filed with DOL.
Prepare for prevailing wage questions before the LCA stage
DOL certifies your LCA only if your offered salary meets the prevailing wage for Finance Analysts in your metro area. Review the OFLC wage data for your city before negotiating your offer so your accepted salary clears the threshold without renegotiation.
E-3 Visa Finance Analyst: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Finance Analyst jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, it surfaces Finance Analyst roles at employers with active E-3 and LCA filing history, so you're not guessing which companies will sponsor. Most general job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship type, which means significant time spent on roles where the employer has never filed an LCA and doesn't intend to start.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Finance Analyst role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes. Finance Analyst positions qualify because they normally require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, meeting the USCIS specialty occupation standard. The role must require that specific degree, not just prefer it. If your job description is vague, ask your employer to tighten the language before the LCA is submitted to DOL.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Australian Finance Analysts?
The E-3 has no lottery, no annual cap that comes close to being exhausted, and can be filed any time of year, the H-1B requires winning a random lottery before any filing can begin. For a Finance Analyst from Australia, the E-3 is a direct path: your employer files an LCA with DOL, you attend a consulate interview, and you can start within weeks. H-1B processing can take six months or longer.
Can I change Finance Analyst employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but you'll need to restart the E-3 process with the new employer before you can begin working for them. That means a fresh LCA filing with DOL and a new visa stamp if your current stamp lists only your previous employer. There's no grace period for unauthorized work, so the new employer's LCA should be certified before your last day at the current firm.
