E-3 Visa Strategic Finance Manager Jobs
Strategic Finance Manager roles in the U.S. require a finance-related bachelor's degree and a qualifying job offer, both of which satisfy E-3 visa specialty occupation requirements. The E-3 has no lottery, no annual cap, and renews in two-year increments, making sponsorship straightforward for employers who budget and plan deals at the CFO level.

As the team behind Next.js, v0, and AI SDK, we create products that help builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience. Now, software is entering a new era, and the next generation of products will not just be used by people. They will be built, extended, and operated by agents. We are building the platform for that future, trusted by companies like OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. Whether you’re building our products, supporting our customers, growing our community, or shaping our story, you’ll help define what comes next.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are hiring a Strategic Finance Manager, Product (EPD) to partner with Engineering and Product to drive unit economics, infrastructure efficiency, and margin expansion across Vercel’s consumption-based platform. This role spans cloud infrastructure & token spend, as well as emerging AI workloads (inference, gateways, and compute-intensive services). You will define how we measure and optimize the cost and profitability of every request, workload, and AI interaction on the platform.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

- Translate product and infrastructure usage (requests, execution time, tokens, etc.) into clear cost drivers
- Partner with EPD to drive cost-efficient architecture and scaling decisions
Cost Visibility & Accountability:
- Build self-service cost tooling for Product and Engineering (cost per request, per workload, per AI query)
- Enable teams to own and optimize their infrastructure footprint
- Standardize cost attribution across products and multi-tenant systems
Efficiency & Margin Expansion:
- Lead infrastructure and AI efficiency initiatives (compute optimization, caching, vendor strategy)
- Define north star metrics (e.g., cost per request, cost per AI call, cost per GB)
- Embed cost efficiency into roadmaps and product decisions
Cost Allocation & Financial Rigor:
- Develop scalable cost allocation frameworks across products, customers, and workloads
- Improve gross margin visibility, including AI product margins
- Support auditability and IPO readiness
CROSS-CUTTING WORKSTREAMS
Unit Economics:
- Define product-level unit economics across Vercel’s product suite
- Connect usage (requests, compute, tokens, etc.) to revenue and COGS
COGS / Gross Margin Forecasting:
- Build driver-based models linking usage, revenue, and infrastructure costs
- Forecast COGS across core platform and AI products for both PLG & SLG segments
- Model margin impact of scale and efficiency improvements
Pricing & Packaging:
- Partner on usage-based and AI pricing models
- Evaluate tradeoffs between growth, adoption, and margin
- Ensure pricing is reflected in forecasts and unit economics
ABOUT YOU:
- 5-8+ years in Strategic Finance, FP&A, IB, or Consulting
- Experience with consumption-based or cloud infrastructure businesses
- Strong modeling skills; experience with driver-based forecasting
- Ability to partner with technical teams and translate usage → financial insight
- SQL / data tooling experience strongly preferred
BENEFITS:
- Competitive compensation package, including equity.
- Inclusive Healthcare Package.
- Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
- Flexible Time Off.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Strategic Finance Manager
Frame your credentials for specialty occupation
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees in finance, accounting, or economics satisfy E-3 visa specialty occupation requirements. Get your academic transcripts ready and confirm your degree field aligns directly with the strategic finance scope your offer letter describes.
Target finance teams with existing LCA history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for finance manager roles. Prior LCA activity signals a team that understands the E-3 process and won't delay your start date.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Finding Strategic Finance Manager roles with confirmed E-3 sponsorship is harder than finding open roles generally. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with active E-3 hiring history, so you're applying to companies already equipped to file your paperwork.
Address dual intent before your interview
The E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, so consular officers will probe your intent to return to Australia. Prepare a clear, honest account of your ties and career rationale before your interview, not after you receive a 221(g) administrative processing notice.
Confirm your offer letter specifies a degree requirement
Your employer's offer letter must describe the role as requiring at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific field. A letter that says 'preferred' instead of 'required' can trigger an LCA or consular issue, so ask HR to revise the language before filing.
File your LCA and visa paperwork through one service
The E-3 process runs from LCA submission to DOL through to your consulate appointment. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so nothing falls between your employer's HR team and the consulate deadline.
E-3 Visa Strategic Finance Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Strategic Finance Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Most job postings don't explicitly advertise E-3 sponsorship, so searching general boards by title alone wastes time. Migrate Mate filters for employers with confirmed E-3 hiring activity, letting you focus on Strategic Finance Manager roles at companies already set up to file your LCA and support your consulate appointment.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Strategic Finance Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related discipline. Roles that accept any degree regardless of field can fail the specialty occupation test at the consulate, so the offer letter must specify the degree requirement explicitly.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Strategic Finance Manager roles?
The H-1B visa requires entering a lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection chance, while the E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been exhausted. For Australian professionals, this means no lottery risk, faster timelines from offer to start date, and an easier conversation with finance employers who are already wary of H-1B uncertainty.
Can I switch employers while on an E-3 as a Strategic Finance Manager?
Yes, but you cannot start work with a new employer until they file a new, certified LCA with DOL and you obtain a new E-3 visa stamp or, where available, complete a change of status. There is no portability provision like AC21 for the E-3, so plan your transition timeline carefully with your new employer before resigning.
