E-3 Visa Global Account Director Jobs
Global Account Director roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Australian professionals can secure two-year E-3 status with unlimited renewals, and the absence of an H-1B lottery means your timeline depends on the employer, not a random draw.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Global Account Director
Translate your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree satisfies the E-3 specialty occupation requirement, but document its U.S. equivalency upfront. A credential evaluation letter prevents delays when your hiring team submits the Labor Condition Application to DOL.
Target enterprise technology and professional services firms
Global Account Director roles at companies managing multinational client portfolios are the most defensible E-3 specialty occupation cases. Look for employers with existing international workforces, since their HR teams already understand the LCA filing process and won't treat sponsorship as an obstacle.
Address dual intent before your first interview
The E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, so openly discussing a green card pathway in early conversations can raise flags. Frame your long-term commitment in terms of the role and client relationships, not immigration status, until an offer is on the table.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA and paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This keeps your employer's administrative burden minimal, which matters when convincing a U.S. hiring team that sponsoring an Australian candidate is straightforward.
Confirm your role meets specialty occupation criteria
USCIS evaluates whether the position normally requires a degree in a specific field, not just any degree. For a Global Account Director role, tie your job description to strategic business development, enterprise revenue management, or international client advisory functions before the LCA is filed.
Negotiate your start date around consulate appointment availability
E-3 processing at Australian consulates in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth varies by season. Build at least four to six weeks into your start date negotiation to account for appointment wait times, so your onboarding date is realistic from day one.

Find Global Account Director JobsGlobal Account Director E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Global Account Director jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. It filters opportunities by visa compatibility, so you're only seeing employers who are open to sponsoring Australian candidates rather than sifting through listings from companies unfamiliar with the E-3 visa.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Global Account Director role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, or international commerce. Roles that accept any degree in any field can be harder to defend. Strengthening the job description to tie the position to specific academic knowledge improves the LCA outcome.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for a Global Account Director?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been exhausted, meaning there's no lottery and no random selection risk. An H-1B applicant faces a roughly one-in-four chance of selection per registration. For a senior commercial role where both you and your employer want a predictable start date, the E-3 is a structurally more reliable path.
Can I change employers after starting a Global Account Director role on an E-3?
Yes, but you need a new LCA certified by DOL and a new E-3 visa before starting with the new employer. Unlike H-1B portability rules, the E-3 doesn't allow you to begin working for a new sponsor while the application is pending. Plan for a gap in authorization or time your transition around a trip back to Australia for a new visa stamp.
