Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Identity Access Management
Frame your IAM credentials for U.S. employers
U.S. hiring managers distinguish between identity governance, PAM, and directory services. Tailor your resume to name specific platforms you've administered, such as SailPoint, CyberArk, or Okta, so your specialty occupation basis is immediately clear.
Target employers with active E-3 filing history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for LCA filings under SOC code 15-1212 to find technology employers who have sponsored E-3 workers in IAM and adjacent security roles within the past two years.
Verify your degree field supports the petition
E-3 requires a direct relationship between your degree and the offered role. A three-year Australian bachelor's in computer science or cybersecurity is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree, but document the equivalency before your employer files the LCA.
Get your LCA filed before accepting a start date
Your employer must obtain a certified LCA from DOL before you can apply at the consulate. DOL certifies most LCAs within seven business days, but build at least two weeks of buffer into your offer negotiation to avoid a delayed start.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the full process
IAM roles often involve third-party client sites, which can complicate LCA location requirements. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA, DS-160, and consulate preparation so nothing falls through on the employer's end.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions at the consulate
Consular officers assess ties to Australia during E-3 interviews. Bring documentation of property, family, or financial commitments at home alongside your job offer letter, LCA certification, and degree credentials to support your nonimmigrant intent.

Find Identity Access Management JobsIdentity Access Management E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Identity Access Management jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It filters IAM roles by employers with E-3 sponsorship history, so you're not cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with the visa. Because E-3 requires the employer to file an LCA before your consulate appointment, targeting sponsors who've done it before significantly shortens the process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an IAM role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3 visa?
Yes. Identity Access Management positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a closely related field, which satisfies the E-3 specialty occupation definition. Roles involving identity governance platforms, privileged access management, or directory services consistently meet the degree requirement standard USCIS applies.
How does the E-3 compare to H-1B for Australian IAM professionals?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual cap that has never been reached, so there's no lottery and no random selection. H-1B registrations for the same IAM roles face a competitive lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate in recent years. The E-3 also processes through the consulate rather than USCIS, which removes the I-129 petition step and typically results in a faster path to starting work.
Can I change IAM employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but the process restarts with each new employer. Your new company must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp from an Australian consulate, or you can pursue a change of status if you're already in the U.S. There's no grace period provision built into the E-3 statute, so timing the transition carefully matters.
