Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Group Account Director
Frame your portfolio around U.S. market outcomes
U.S. hiring managers evaluate Group Account Directors on revenue growth and client retention metrics, not agency prestige. Translate your Australian case studies into dollar-denominated results and measurable retention rates before you start applying.
Target agencies with existing LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify agencies that have certified LCAs for senior account roles. Firms with recent filings already understand the E-3 process, which cuts your time-to-offer significantly.
Use Migrate Mate to lock in your LCA fast
The LCA must be DOL-certified before your consulate appointment, and delays here push back your start date. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so the process runs in parallel with your notice period.
Clarify specialty occupation with your offer letter
Group Account Director roles can attract scrutiny if the job description reads as general management rather than requiring a specific bachelor's degree field. Ask your employer to tie the role explicitly to a discipline like marketing, communications, or business administration in the offer letter.
Negotiate your start date around consulate wait times
E-3 consulate appointments at Sydney and Melbourne can run several weeks out during peak periods. Build at least six weeks between your signed offer and your proposed U.S. start date so scheduling delays don't force you to renegotiate with the employer.
Confirm E-3 familiarity before your first interview
Many U.S. agencies have sponsored H-1B holders but have never filed an E-3. Raise it early by noting it's an Australian-only treaty visa with no lottery and a straightforward DOL certification step, which removes the employer's main objection before it forms.

Find Group Account Director JobsGroup Account Director E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Group Account Director jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles that include E-3 sponsorship. Standard job boards rarely filter by visa type, so you end up cold-screening hundreds of listings. Migrate Mate surfaces employers already open to E-3 candidates, which is the practical starting point for a Group Account Director search.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Group Account Director role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the job description requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as marketing, communications, advertising, or business administration. The role must genuinely require that degree, not merely prefer it. Generic management descriptions without a specific degree requirement can create complications at the consulate, so the offer letter wording matters.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Group Account Directors?
The H-1B is subject to an annual lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate, which means most candidates wait years before getting a slot. The E-3 has no lottery, no annual cap backlog for Australian nationals, and can be filed directly at a U.S. consulate in Australia. For a Group Account Director with a confirmed offer, the E-3 is a far more predictable path.
Can I change agencies while on an E-3 as a Group Account Director?
Yes, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp if you travel outside the U.S. before updating your status. You can start with the new employer once the LCA is certified and your I-94 reflects the new status, but timing your transition carefully avoids gaps in authorization.
