Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Internal Communications Manager
Frame your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
Your three-year Australian bachelor's in communications, journalism, or a related field is accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 purposes. Document that equivalency in your application materials before reaching out to hiring managers.
Target employers with internal comms infrastructure
Companies large enough to have a dedicated internal communications function are far more likely to support E-3 sponsorship. Search for roles at publicly listed corporations, healthcare systems, and financial services firms where the function reports to HR or the C-suite.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have a job offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and consulate preparation end-to-end. This keeps filing timelines tight and reduces the risk of delays from first-time employer paperwork errors.
Prepare a portfolio that demonstrates specialty occupation
USCIS scrutinizes whether internal communications roles genuinely require a specific bachelor's degree. Assemble a portfolio showing strategy development, executive communications, and change management work that a generalist without your degree field couldn't produce.
Negotiate visa support into your offer letter
Get written confirmation that the employer will file the LCA and cover associated government fees before you resign any Australian role. Verbal assurances from a hiring manager don't bind the HR or legal team who will execute the filing.

Find Internal Communications Manager JobsInternal Communications Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Internal Communications Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Internal Communications Manager roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Many roles don't advertise visa support in the job posting, so filtering by companies with LCA filing history for communications roles saves significant time and avoids pursuing positions where sponsorship isn't viable.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Internal Communications Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the role genuinely requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as communications, journalism, public relations, or organizational behavior. Roles framed broadly where any degree is accepted can face scrutiny. Your job offer letter and employer documentation should specify the degree requirement clearly to support the specialty occupation finding.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for an Internal Communications Manager?
The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens but has no annual lottery and no cap that regularly fills. An Internal Communications Manager applying on E-3 can receive approval within weeks of a consulate appointment, while H-1B requires lottery selection in April with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. For Australians, E-3 is the faster and more reliable path.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as an Internal Communications Manager?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new LCA filing and a fresh visa stamp if your current stamp was issued for the previous employer. You can start working for a new employer once the new LCA is certified by DOL and you have a valid visa, but you can't carry over the old employer's filing. Plan for a two-to-four-week LCA processing window when negotiating your start date.
