Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Practice Manager
Match your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires that your degree field directly relates to the Practice Manager role. A degree in health services management, business administration, or a clinical field strengthens your case more than a general management qualification.
Target healthcare groups with multi-site operations
Large medical groups, hospital systems, and outpatient networks hire Practice Managers at scale and are more familiar with E-3 sponsorship logistics. Single-provider practices rarely have the HR infrastructure to file an LCA and support a visa application.
Frame your offer letter around specialty occupation requirements
Your employer's offer letter must specify that the role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Vague job descriptions listing a degree as preferred rather than required can create problems at the consulate.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to streamline your LCA
The DOL Labor Condition Application must be certified before your consulate appointment. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so the process doesn't stall between offer acceptance and your start date.
Prepare an Australian credential equivalency statement
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 purposes, but bring a written equivalency statement or academic transcript to your consulate interview to pre-empt any officer questions.
Negotiate your start date around consulate appointment availability
E-3 applications are processed at the consulate, not through USCIS, so your timeline depends on appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth. Build at least four to six weeks of buffer between offer acceptance and your proposed start date.

Find Practice Manager JobsPractice Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Practice Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search Migrate Mate to find Practice Manager roles at employers with active E-3 and LCA filing history. Many healthcare and medical group employers sponsor E-3 visas but don't advertise it explicitly, so filtering by sponsorship history gives you a more accurate shortlist than general job boards.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Practice Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It does when the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as healthcare administration, health services management, or business. Roles that accept any degree or substitute years of experience for the degree requirement can face scrutiny. Your employer's job description and your credential alignment are the two variables that matter most.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Practice Manager roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and has no lottery, so you don't compete in an annual random selection. The H-1B is lottery-based with roughly a one-in-four chance of selection. Both require a specialty occupation determination and employer sponsorship, but the E-3 can be approved at a consulate within weeks of filing, while H-1B processing runs several months.
Can I change employers after starting work on an E-3 as a Practice Manager?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp reflecting the new employer before you travel internationally. If you're already in the U.S., you can begin working for the new employer once the new LCA is certified and your current visa stamp remains valid, but you cannot re-enter the U.S. after travel until the new visa is issued.
