E-3 Visa Product Design Manager Jobs
Product Design Manager roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in design, HCI, or a related field. The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, making it far more predictable than H-1B for Australian professionals targeting U.S. design leadership positions.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Product Design Manager
Align your portfolio to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Your portfolio needs to demonstrate degree-level design expertise, not just managerial output. Frame case studies around systems thinking, UX methodology, and cross-functional leadership to satisfy DOL's specialty occupation definition for E-3 LCA filings.
Target companies with active design leadership hiring
Search for employers posting Product Design Manager roles that explicitly list a bachelor's degree as required, not preferred. Roles where any degree qualifies weaken the specialty occupation argument and can complicate your LCA certification.
Get your LCA and visa paperwork handled correctly
The LCA must be certified by DOL before your consulate appointment, and errors in the prevailing wage determination are a common filing mistake. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork from offer to consulate appointment.
Verify your Australian degree equivalency before applying
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes, but some consular officers request a credential evaluation. Obtain a formal evaluation from a NACES-member service before your interview if your degree field isn't an exact match to the role.
Request a written E-3 sponsorship commitment before resigning
Verbal offers don't bind employers to file your LCA. Before giving notice to your current employer, confirm the U.S. company has signed off on initiating E-3 sponsorship, since the process requires active employer participation in the DOL certification step.

Find Product Design Manager JobsProduct Design Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Product Design Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for E-3 visa sponsorship roles in the U.S. You can filter by job title and see which employers are actively hiring Product Design Managers with E-3 support. Standard job boards don't filter by visa type, so you'll waste time applying to roles where the employer has never sponsored a work visa.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Product Design Manager role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as industrial design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or a closely related discipline. The key test is whether the degree field is directly tied to the job duties. A role that accepts any degree regardless of field is harder to certify through DOL's LCA process.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Product Design Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no numerical cap, so you can apply at any time of year and get a decision without competing in a random selection. H-1B is capped at 85,000 per year with a lottery that historically selects fewer than 25% of registrants. For Australian design professionals, the E-3 is a far more reliable path to U.S. employment.
Can I switch Product Design Manager employers on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but your E-3 status is tied to your current employer's LCA. When you change jobs, the new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new visa stamp if yours has expired or is expiring. You can start working for the new employer once the LCA is certified, but you cannot carry over your existing E-3 status to a different company.
