E-3 Visa Public Relations Manager Jobs
Public Relations Manager roles qualify as E-3 specialty occupations when backed by a degree in communications, public relations, or a related field. Australian nationals can secure E-3 visa sponsorship without competing in the H-1B lottery, and the visa renews in two-year increments for as long as you hold a qualifying role.

Frame your credentials for U.S. employers
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 visa purposes, but your employer's HR team may not know that. Bring a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator to pre-empt any questions during hiring.
Target agencies with multi-market client rosters
PR agencies that serve global or Asia-Pacific clients actively recruit Australian professionals for cross-cultural fluency. These firms already understand E-3 sponsorship and are more likely to fast-track an LCA filing than a domestic-only employer.
Search for E-3 sponsorship roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once you have an offer. Migrate Mate filters roles by E-3 sponsorship history, so you spend less time on employers who haven't navigated the process before.
Clarify specialty occupation fit in your offer letter
USCIS scrutinizes whether PR Manager roles require a specific degree rather than any bachelor's. Ask your employer to spell out in the offer letter that the role requires a degree in communications, public relations, or a directly related field.
Confirm your employer's LCA timeline before accepting
DOL certifies a Labor Condition Application before you can apply for your visa. Ask your prospective employer whether they've filed an LCA before and who handles it internally, so you aren't waiting on an unfamiliar HR team to start the clock.
Use media and tech sector filings as a proxy for willingness
Publicly traded media companies, integrated marketing groups, and corporate communications teams at tech firms file LCAs regularly. Checking DOL's public disclosure data for prior E-3 or H-1B LCA filings tells you whether a company already has a filing workflow in place.
E-3 Visa Public Relations Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Public Relations Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for roles with E-3 sponsorship. Rather than filtering through general job boards where sponsorship status is buried or absent, Migrate Mate surfaces employers with E-3 and LCA filing history so you can focus on companies already equipped to hire you.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Public Relations Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the role genuinely requires a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a closely related field. Roles where any degree is acceptable, or where significant experience substitutes for a specific degree field, are harder to qualify. Your offer letter and job description need to reflect a degree-specific requirement, not just a preference.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Public Relations Manager positions?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been exhausted, so there's no lottery and no waitlist for Australians. H-1B requires registration in an oversubscribed lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate. For a PR Manager with an offer in hand, the E-3 timeline from LCA filing to consulate appointment is typically weeks, not months.
Can I transfer my E-3 if I change employers while working as a PR Manager in the U.S.?
Yes, but the E-3 isn't portable the way some other visas are. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need to attend a new consulate interview to get a new visa stamp. You can continue working for your current employer until the new E-3 is approved, so overlap your transition planning accordingly.
