Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Quality Assurance Intern
Align your degree to the QA role
E-3 eligibility requires a specialty occupation, so your degree must connect directly to quality assurance work. Engineering, science, or information systems credentials map cleanly; a general business degree needs supporting coursework or experience to hold up at the consulate.
Target employers already filing LCAs
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for employers who have certified LCAs for QA or quality engineer roles. Those employers already understand the filing process and won't need convincing that E-3 sponsorship is manageable.
Search for E-3 QA roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters specifically for E-3 visa sponsorship jobs, so you're not sifting through listings from employers unfamiliar with Australian visa requirements. Use it to find Quality Assurance Intern openings where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Get your academic transcripts evaluated early
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted for E-3 purposes, but having a credential evaluation ready before interviews removes any employer hesitation. USCIS and consular officers recognize equivalency, and a prepared applicant moves the process faster.
Negotiate LCA filing into your offer timeline
The employer must file and receive a certified LCA from the DOL before you can apply at the consulate. Build at least two to three weeks of LCA processing time into your start date discussion so neither side is caught off guard.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the paperwork
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the LCA submission, DS-160, and consulate preparation end-to-end. That removes the administrative burden from your employer and reduces the risk of delays from documentation errors.

Find Quality Assurance Intern JobsQuality Assurance Intern E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Quality Assurance Intern jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Quality Assurance Intern roles where E-3 sponsorship is already on the table. Because the E-3 is exclusive to Australians, most general job boards don't filter for it. Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have confirmed they'll support the E-3 process, saving you from cold outreach to employers unfamiliar with the visa.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Quality Assurance Intern role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It can, but the role description matters. The position must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as engineering, computer science, or physical sciences. A QA intern role at a medical device, software, or manufacturing company is more likely to meet the specialty occupation standard than a generalist quality control position that accepts any degree.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Quality Assurance Intern positions?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply any time of year and start as soon as your visa is approved. The H-1B has an 85,000-slot annual cap with a randomized lottery, meaning most applicants wait until October 1 to start even if selected. For an internship or early-career QA role, the E-3 is far more practical and predictable.
Can my employer sponsor an E-3 for an internship rather than a full-time role?
Yes, the E-3 is not restricted to permanent or full-time positions. Internships qualify as long as the role meets the specialty occupation definition and your employer files a certified LCA with the DOL. The LCA confirms the wage offered meets the prevailing wage for that role and location, which applies to interns as it would to any other sponsored worker.
