Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship in Quality Supervisor
Verify your degree aligns with the role
Your bachelor's degree must match the Quality Supervisor specialty, not just any technical field. A degree in industrial engineering or quality management is stronger than a general business degree when the consular officer reviews your LCA.
Target manufacturers with active DOL LCA filings
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to find employers who have filed LCAs for quality roles. Companies with recent filings already understand the E-3 visa process and won't need educating on sponsorship requirements.
Frame ISO certification experience in your resume
U.S. employers hiring Quality Supervisors prioritize ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 experience. Listing these credentials prominently signals specialty occupation eligibility to both the employer and DOL when the LCA is filed.
Clarify the prevailing wage tier before accepting an offer
The LCA must certify your offered salary meets the DOL prevailing wage for your SOC code and work location. Ask the employer which wage level they're filing under before you accept, so there are no surprises at the consulate.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for LCA and paperwork
The LCA must be certified by DOL before your visa interview, and the DS-160 must reflect exact job details. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so the documentation is coordinated correctly from offer to consulate appointment.
Request a consulate appointment immediately after LCA certification
DOL typically certifies LCAs within seven business days. Book your consulate appointment as soon as certification arrives, since appointment availability at Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth fluctuates and delays can push your start date back by weeks.
E-3 Visa Quality Supervisor: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Quality Supervisor jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search Migrate Mate to filter Quality Supervisor roles by employers with E-3 sponsorship history. Many manufacturing and industrial companies sponsor E-3 visas for quality roles but don't advertise it explicitly in job postings. Targeting employers with prior LCA filings in your industry is the most direct way to find real opportunities.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Quality Supervisor role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, if the employer's job description requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field such as industrial engineering, quality management, or manufacturing science. Roles that accept any degree or list a degree as preferred rather than required can be challenged during LCA review or at the consulate, so the job offer language matters.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Quality Supervisor positions?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no cap, so you can apply at any time of year and receive a decision within weeks of your consulate interview. The H-1B has an 85,000-slot annual cap and a randomized lottery, meaning qualified candidates are often not selected despite meeting all requirements. For Australian Quality Supervisors, the E-3 is a far more predictable path.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Quality Supervisor?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp before starting work for them. Unlike H-1B portability rules, there's no formal E-3 portability provision, so you generally can't begin with a new employer until the new visa is issued. Plan your transition timeline around consulate appointment availability.
