Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Regional Account Manager
Translate your Australian sales credentials clearly
U.S. hiring managers may not recognize Australian degree structures or CRM certifications. Explicitly map your three-year bachelor's degree to the U.S. four-year equivalent in your resume and cover letter to preempt specialty occupation questions during E-3 review.
Target companies with active LCA filing histories
Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data for employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for Regional Account Manager or similar sales roles. Prior LCA activity signals a company already understands the E-3 process and won't stall at the sponsorship conversation.
Confirm your offer letter specifies a bachelor's requirement
The E-3 requires the offered role to require a specific degree, not just prefer one. Before signing, verify your offer letter states that a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. A 'preferred' qualification can create specialty occupation problems at the consulate.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service after receiving your offer
Once you have a signed offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork. The LCA must be DOL-certified before your consulate appointment, and getting the sequence right from the start avoids delays that can push back your start date.
Address territory and remote work in your application
Regional Account Manager roles often cover multi-state territories or involve remote client management. Your employer's LCA must reflect your primary worksite. If you'll work across locations, flag this early so the LCA filing accounts for the correct prevailing wage and worksite designations.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions at the consulate
E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, so consular officers may ask about your long-term ties to Australia. Have concrete answers ready about property, family, or ongoing Australian obligations. A clear, honest response reduces the risk of administrative processing delays after your interview.

Find Regional Account Manager JobsRegional Account Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Regional Account Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface U.S. employers who sponsor Australian professionals via the E-3 visa, including Regional Account Manager roles. Searching general job boards returns mixed results because most listings don't specify visa type. Migrate Mate filters for sponsorship-ready employers, saving you from pitching the E-3 process to companies that have never filed one.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Regional Account Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is defined. The E-3 requires the position to normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. A Regional Account Manager role framed around business development, marketing, or communications with a matching degree requirement typically qualifies. Roles described as pure sales with no stated degree requirement are harder to support at the consulate.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Regional Account Manager roles?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual cap that has never been exhausted, so there's no lottery. You can apply at any time of year and start work as soon as your visa is issued. The H-1B has an 85,000 cap, a lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate, and an October 1 start date constraint. For Australian nationals in sales roles, the E-3 is a far more predictable path.
Can I change employers while working in the U.S. on an E-3?
Yes, but you need to restart the process with your new employer. Your new company files a fresh LCA, and you'll typically need a new E-3 visa stamp before starting with them. If you're already inside the U.S., you can change employers once the new LCA is certified, but you cannot work for the new company until that step is complete.
