Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Regional Director
Align your credentials to specialty occupation
Regional Director roles must meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard. Frame your degree and experience around strategic management, operations, or business administration so your background clearly connects to the job description's degree requirements.
Target multi-site companies with regional structures
Employers operating across multiple U.S. states or territories are far more likely to have Regional Director openings with genuine sponsorship intent. Focus your search on organisations with distributed teams where the role has clear geographic oversight.
Ask about LCA status before accepting an offer
The Labor Condition Application must be filed with the DOL before your visa appointment. Confirm your employer knows this and has a plan in place, since delays in LCA certification can push back your start date by several weeks.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end support
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage your LCA, visa paperwork, and consulate preparation. This removes the administrative burden from both you and your employer, which matters when hiring decisions move quickly.
Prepare evidence of regional oversight experience
Consular officers assess whether your background genuinely supports a director-level role. Bring documentation showing P&L responsibility, team leadership across locations, or cross-functional reporting lines, not just a job title that says Regional Director.
Confirm your employer's prevailing wage compliance
The DOL requires employers to pay at least the prevailing wage for Regional Director roles in the specific metro area. Check that your offer reflects the correct wage level for your location, since discrepancies can trigger LCA issues.

Find Regional Director JobsRegional Director E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Regional Director jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. It filters opportunities to show employers open to sponsoring Australian nationals, which removes the guesswork of cold-applying to companies that may not understand the E-3 visa process or exclude non-U.S. workers outright.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Regional Director role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as business administration, management, or a related discipline. Generic management roles where any degree is acceptable may not qualify. The job description needs to establish a direct connection between the degree field and the duties performed.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Regional Director positions?
The E-3 has no annual lottery, so there is no random selection risk. Australian nationals can apply at any time of year and receive a decision within weeks of their consulate appointment. The H-1B requires registration in a lottery with a roughly one-in-four selection rate, meaning qualified candidates can be excluded entirely through chance alone.
Can I change employers or take on a broader regional role while on an E-3?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new LCA filed with the DOL and a new E-3 visa or amended status before you start with the new organisation. Expanding your regional scope significantly, such as adding countries or business units, may also require updating your LCA if the duties shift materially from the original certified role.
