Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Regional Manager
Frame your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 visa specialty occupation purposes. Make that equivalency explicit in your resume so hiring managers don't flag it as a gap.
Target companies with multi-state operations
Regional Manager roles at companies operating across multiple U.S. states are structured around the specialty occupation standard. Multi-site employers are also more likely to have existing immigration infrastructure and HR teams familiar with E-3 sponsorship.
Search verified E-3 sponsors on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find Regional Manager roles at employers with confirmed E-3 sponsorship history. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once you have an offer.
Clarify the specialty occupation case before applying
Not every Regional Manager title qualifies. If the job description accepts any degree field or lists a degree as preferred rather than required, the LCA may not hold up. Ask the recruiter how they plan to document specialty occupation before you advance.
Confirm the employer handles the LCA filing
The DOL-certified Labor Condition Application is the employer's legal responsibility, not yours. Before accepting an offer, verify your employer will file the LCA promptly, since your consulate appointment can't be scheduled until it's certified.
Time your application around your current visa status
If you're already in the U.S. on another status, a change of status filing with USCIS avoids a consulate trip. If you're offshore, the consulate-based route is faster. Knowing which path applies to you shapes the entire offer-to-start timeline.
E-3 Visa Regional Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Regional Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It filters Regional Manager roles by employers with E-3 sponsorship history, so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never sponsored an Australian before. Standard job boards don't surface sponsorship status, which means a lot of wasted applications on roles that will never move forward.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Regional Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is structured. USCIS requires the position to normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field, not just any degree. A Regional Manager overseeing operations in a technical or specialized industry, with a degree requirement in business, operations, or a related discipline, typically qualifies. A generalist role where any four-year degree is acceptable is harder to support.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Regional Manager roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so your employer can file any time of year and approval isn't left to chance. The H-1B visa cap-subject lottery means most petitions filed in April face roughly a 25% selection rate. For a Regional Manager moving on a specific timeline, the E-3's predictability is a practical advantage over the H-1B's lottery uncertainty.
Can I change employers or get promoted while on an E-3?
Yes to both, but each triggers a new filing. Changing employers requires a new LCA certified by the DOL and, if you're in the U.S., a new E-3 petition with USCIS or a new visa stamp at a consulate. A promotion to a materially different role, even with the same employer, may also require a new LCA if the job duties or prevailing wage level change significantly.
