Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a RN Home Health
Get your CGFNS credentials evaluated early
U.S. home health agencies need proof your Australian nursing qualifications meet state licensure standards before filing an LCA. A Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) evaluation establishes equivalency and prevents delays after you receive an offer.
Target agencies with existing DOL LCA history
Home health agencies that have filed Labor Condition Applications before understand the prevailing wage and posting requirements. Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify employers with active E-3 or H-1B LCA filings in your target state.
Use Migrate Mate to find and file efficiently
Search Migrate Mate for RN Home Health roles with confirmed E-3 sponsorship history, then use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork from offer acceptance through your consulate appointment.
Confirm state RN licensure before your interview
Home health roles are state-regulated, and your sponsoring employer needs you licensed in the state where you'll work. Apply for a temporary or full RN license through the state nursing board before your offer stage to avoid derailing the LCA timeline.
Clarify the LCA worksite address with your employer
Home health roles often involve multiple patient locations, which complicates the LCA worksite requirement. Ask your employer whether they'll list their agency office or a representative service area, since USCIS and DOL scrutinise worksite definitions for mobile nursing roles.
Negotiate your consulate appointment timing after LCA certification
DOL certifies E-3 LCAs within seven business days on average. Once certified, you can schedule your Australian consulate appointment immediately. Coordinate your notice period and start date around realistic consulate wait times rather than assuming you can begin within a few weeks.

Find RN Home Health JobsRN Home Health E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find RN Home Health jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search Migrate Mate for RN Home Health roles filtered by E-3 sponsorship. Most home health agencies don't advertise visa support in job postings, so searching a platform that surfaces sponsorship-confirmed employers saves significant time. Migrate Mate aggregates roles where the employer has demonstrated willingness to file an LCA and support the E-3 process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does RN Home Health qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3 visa?
Yes. Registered nursing is consistently recognised as a specialty occupation because it requires at minimum a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent. Your Australian Bachelor of Nursing satisfies this requirement. The employer still needs to document the role's degree requirement in the LCA filing, so ensure the job description explicitly states a nursing degree is required, not merely preferred.
How does the E-3 visa compare to H-1B for Australian RN Home Health candidates?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you aren't competing against tens of thousands of applicants for a limited number of slots as you would with H-1B. An Australian RN can apply for the E-3 any time of year once they have a certified LCA and a job offer. H-1B registration closes in March for an October start date, which can delay employment by six months or more.
Can I transfer my E-3 visa to a new home health employer if my situation changes?
Yes, but the E-3 is employer-specific. If you change home health agencies, your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp, which requires returning to an Australian consulate. There's no portability provision like the one available under H-1B after 180 days, so plan your transition carefully to avoid a gap in authorised employment.
