Company Description
It started with a simple idea: what if surgery could be less invasive and recovery less painful? Nearly 30 years later, that question still fuels everything we do at Intuitive. As a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery and minimally invasive care, our technologies—like the da Vinci surgical system and Ion—have transformed how care is delivered for millions of patients worldwide.
We’re a team of engineers, clinicians, and innovators united by one purpose: to make surgery smarter, safer, and more human. Every day, our work helps care teams perform with greater precision and patients recover faster, improving outcomes around the world.
The problems we solve demand creativity, rigor, and collaboration. The work is challenging, but deeply meaningful—because every improvement we make has the potential to change a life.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a NP
Secure your U.S. NP license before applying
Most employers won't begin the sponsorship process until you hold a valid NP license in their state. Research licensure-by-endorsement timelines early, some states take four to six months to process applications from Australian-trained nurses.
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation requirements
The E-3 requires your role to qualify as a specialty occupation. An Australian Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) satisfies this, but make sure your credential evaluation reflects U.S.-equivalent postgraduate standing before any employer files your LCA.
Search for NP roles using Migrate Mate
Not every NP posting flags E-3 sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to identify employers already set up to sponsor Australians and streamline everything from your LCA filing through to your consulate appointment.
Target health systems with existing international hiring pipelines
Large hospital networks and federally qualified health centers regularly sponsor international clinical staff. Prioritize roles at organizations that have filed LCAs before, they understand DOL prevailing wage requirements and won't be starting from scratch.
Ask about LCA filing timing before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a certified LCA with the DOL before you can submit your visa application. Confirm they're ready to start this process at offer acceptance, not weeks later, delays here push back your consulate appointment.
Prepare your CGFNS documentation for the credentialing process
Many U.S. employers and state boards require a Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) credential evaluation for internationally trained nurses. Request this early, it runs parallel to your sponsorship paperwork and can't be rushed.

Find NP JobsNP E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find NP jobs in the U.S. that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Most standard job boards don't filter by E-3 sponsorship availability, which means you can spend weeks applying to roles where the employer has never heard of the visa. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this, it surfaces NP roles where employers are already set up to sponsor Australian nationals on the E-3, so you're not starting every conversation from zero.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Is the E-3 visa a better option than the H-1B for nurse practitioners?
For Australian NPs, the E-3 is almost always the better starting point. The H-1B has an annual lottery with a roughly 25% selection rate, meaning most applicants simply don't get picked. The E-3 has no lottery and a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been fully used. If you're an Australian citizen with a qualifying NP role and a U.S. license, the E-3 is the faster and more reliable path.
Does my Australian NP qualification satisfy the E-3 specialty occupation requirement?
An Australian Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) generally satisfies the specialty occupation standard, which requires at least a U.S. bachelor's-equivalent degree in a specific field. The key is that the employer's job description must also require that level of education for the role. A credential evaluation confirming your postgraduate qualification is equivalent to a U.S. master's degree strengthens your application significantly.
Can I switch NP employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but the E-3 is employer-specific, so your current visa is tied to your existing employer and their LCA. When you accept a new offer, the incoming employer must file a new LCA with the DOL and you'll need to apply for a new E-3 visa or, if you're already in the U.S., have your status updated. You can start working for the new employer once their LCA is certified and your new visa documentation is in order.
