E-3 Visa Security Program Manager Jobs
Security Program Manager roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field. Australian professionals bring recognized credentials and program governance experience that U.S. employers value, and the E-3's no-lottery structure means you can start the sponsorship process as soon as you have a job offer.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Security Program Manager
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Your Australian bachelor's degree must map to the specific field of the Security Program Manager role, not just a general IT background. Get a credential evaluation that confirms your qualification meets U.S. equivalency before starting applications.
Target employers with active federal security contracts
Defense contractors, federal IT services firms, and government-adjacent consultancies routinely sponsor E-3 visa holders because their security program roles require specialized credentials the domestic talent pool doesn't always supply. These employers already understand visa compliance obligations.
Frame your clearance eligibility clearly in your application
Many Security Program Manager postings list U.S. security clearance as a requirement. As an Australian national, you're eligible for some clearance levels under the AUSUSA alliance. Stating this upfront removes a common objection before the interview stage.
Search for E-3 sponsorship roles using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Security Program Manager openings by employers with E-3 sponsorship history. This surfaces roles where the hiring team already understands the visa process, cutting out employers who'll stall on an unfamiliar sponsorship pathway.
Confirm the LCA wage level matches your offered role
The DOL-certified LCA must list a prevailing wage at or above the wage level for your specific job duties and location. If an offer underpays relative to the DOL wage determination, the LCA will fail certification and delay your start date.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have a signed offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the LCA submission to DOL, prepares your DS-160 and supporting documents, and gets you ready for your consulate appointment in Australia without back-and-forth between you and your employer's HR team.
E-3 Visa Security Program Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Security Program Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Security Program Manager roles where employers are already open to E-3 sponsorship. Standard job boards don't filter by visa type, which means you spend time on roles where sponsorship isn't available. Migrate Mate surfaces positions matched to E-3 eligibility, so your search is targeted from the start.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Security Program Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes. Security Program Manager positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in information security, computer science, cybersecurity, or a closely related field, which meets the USCIS specialty occupation definition. The key is that the job posting and your offered duties must require that specific degree, not just prefer it. Generic program management roles without a security specialization may face more scrutiny.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Security Program Manager roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian nationals and has no lottery, so there's no random selection process standing between you and a start date. The H-1B visa requires winning an annual lottery with a selection rate well below 50%. For a Security Program Manager with a qualifying offer, the E-3 moves on the employer's timeline, not a lottery calendar, and renews indefinitely in two-year increments.
Can I transfer my E-3 visa if I change Security Program Manager employers?
You can change employers on E-3 status, but it's not a simple internal transfer. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need to apply for a new E-3 visa stamp at an Australian consulate before re-entering the U.S. in the new role. There's no portability rule like the one that exists for H-1B holders, so timing your transition matters.
