Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Senior Director Strategic Partnerships
Frame your degree as specialty occupation evidence
Strategic partnerships roles can draw scrutiny on specialty occupation grounds because duties vary widely. Document the direct link between your bachelor's degree field and your core responsibilities in partnership strategy, deal structuring, or ecosystem development before applying.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have certified LCAs for senior director-level business development roles. Prior LCA filings signal an employer already understands the E-3 process, shortening negotiation time.
Raise E-3 sponsorship before the offer stage
Senior director searches often move quickly from final-round interviews to verbal offers. Clarify your E-3 requirement during the offer conversation, not after signing, so legal review and LCA preparation don't delay your start date by weeks.
Confirm your title reflects specialty occupation duties
A title mismatch between the LCA and your actual responsibilities is a common consular flag at this level. Work with your employer to ensure the job description filed with DOL accurately reflects the strategic, degree-requiring nature of your partnerships role.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end preparation
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork from offer acceptance through consulate appointment. For senior director roles where employer HR teams may lack E-3 experience, having dedicated filing support reduces errors and delays.
Prepare for consulate questions on nonimmigrant intent
Senior-level roles with equity compensation or long-term partnership mandates can prompt consular officers to probe your intent to return to Australia. Have clear, concrete answers ready about your role's defined scope and your ties outside the U.S.

Find Senior Director Strategic Partnerships JobsSenior Director Strategic Partnerships E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Senior Director Strategic Partnerships jobs with E-3 sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for these roles. It filters opportunities specifically by E-3 visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're not sorting through listings that won't support Australian nationals. Senior director-level partnership roles do appear regularly, particularly in technology, SaaS, and enterprise services sectors where Australian professionals are actively recruited.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Senior Director Strategic Partnerships role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
It can, but the qualification is not automatic. USCIS and consular officers look for evidence that the role normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. Generic or broadly defined partnership roles can be challenged, so the job description and LCA need to clearly document the degree-specific nature of the work.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for this role?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, meaning you and your employer can file at any time and expect a predictable outcome. The H-1B has an 85,000-slot annual cap with a randomised lottery, so most applicants are not selected regardless of qualifications. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is almost always the faster and more reliable path to starting a senior director role in the U.S.
Can I change employers after starting on an E-3 in a partnerships role?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new LCA certified by DOL and a new E-3 visa or change of status. You can begin working for a new employer once the LCA is certified and the new visa is approved. There is no grace period provision in the E-3 that automatically extends your work authorization while the new petition is pending, so timing matters.
