Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Senior Implementation Specialist
Align your degree to the role
Consular officers assess whether your qualification directly supports an implementation role. A degree in information systems, computer science, or business technology maps cleanly, a general arts degree requires a stronger experience argument in your supporting documents.
Target companies with active LCA filings
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for employers who have filed LCAs for implementation or professional services roles. Prior filing history means their HR and legal teams already understand the E-3 process.
Clarify the job offer before LCA submission
Your employer files the LCA before your consulate appointment, and the certified LCA must match your actual job title and duties. Vague job descriptions like 'consultant' create problems, push for a title and duty statement that names the specific software or system you'll implement.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end support
Implementation roles often involve complex scope statements and multi-client deployments that complicate the LCA paperwork. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so the documentation accurately reflects your role's specialty occupation requirements.
Verify your employer's E-Verify enrollment
Some implementation roles involve federal government clients or contracts, which can require your employer to be E-Verify enrolled. Confirm this before accepting an offer, unenrolled employers working on covered contracts can create onboarding delays after your visa is approved.
Document project scope during your Australian notice period
Consular officers sometimes ask how your role differs from general IT support. Prepare a one-page summary of your largest implementation projects, named platforms, team size, and outcomes, during your notice period, before you start the visa application.

Find Senior Implementation Specialist JobsSenior Implementation Specialist E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Senior Implementation Specialist jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. You can filter by job title and see which employers are open to sponsoring Australian candidates. Implementation roles appear across enterprise software, consulting, and SaaS companies, and Migrate Mate surfaces those with active hiring intent.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Senior Implementation Specialist role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as information systems, computer science, or a related technical discipline. The key test is whether the degree requirement is tied to the role itself, not just preferred. Roles involving enterprise software deployment, systems integration, or technical project delivery consistently meet this standard when the employer documents the requirement correctly on the LCA.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for implementation professionals?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no numerical cap, so Australian nationals can apply at any time once they have a job offer and a certified LCA. H-1B applicants compete in a lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate. For implementation specialists with an Australian passport, the E-3 is a direct path that bypasses the lottery entirely and can be renewed indefinitely in two-year increments.
Can I change employers or projects while on an E-3 as an implementation specialist?
You can change employers, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need to attend a new consulate appointment for a revised visa stamp. Implementation consultants who work across multiple client sites under a single employer don't need a new visa for each engagement, but if the employer changes, the process restarts. Build this into your timeline when evaluating new offers.
