As part of a broader team, you collaborate with other technical program managers to ensure that work in your space aligns with work and plans of other teams across BDT and other organizations. You establish mechanisms for inspection and awareness of progress across cross cutting initiatives.
Data drives your “flywheel”. You analyze data to glean insights that drive experimentation. You leverage data such as service telemetry, user feedback, and industry trends to surface opportunities for improvement. You take what’s proven and partner with Amazon organizations to apply and scale it. You define, implement, and monitor metrics that track your progress.
You partner with Amazon’s business orgs to test hypotheses and deploy AI-based solutions to reduce friction and risk of errors in the ways that businesses use data.
You give feedback on narratives, contribute to strategy (e.g., OP1 planning), set goals, discuss weekly business metrics, and more.
You partner with Amazon’s PXT organization to evolve and optimize roles guidelines and org design best practices to align with the way businesses are evolving their practices around getting insights from their data.
You partner with engineering, human resources, legal, documentation, solution architecture, privacy, finance, and more to optimize usage of the Andes data lake for AI-based methodologies.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Senior IT Project Manager
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Your Australian three-year bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or engineering satisfies the E-3 visa specialty occupation requirement. Gather your academic transcripts and a credential evaluation now, before you start applying, so employers aren't waiting on paperwork.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for project management roles. Repeat LCA filers already understand the E-3 process and are far less likely to withdraw an offer over sponsorship concerns.
Reframe sponsorship costs in your employer conversations
E-3 sponsorship requires an LCA and consular appointment, not an H-1B lottery or PERM. When an employer hesitates, clarify that there's no cap risk and no multi-year wait. That distinction closes most objections from hiring managers unfamiliar with Australian-only visa options.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the offer-to-consulate stage
Once you have an offer, the LCA and visa paperwork move fast. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so your employer doesn't need to engage outside immigration counsel, which speeds up the process and reduces friction.
Get your PMP certification before your U.S. job search
Many U.S. enterprise employers list PMP certification as a hard requirement for senior project management roles. Holding it before you apply removes a common screening filter and strengthens the specialty occupation case in your E-3 petition.
Negotiate your start date around LCA processing timelines
DOL typically certifies an LCA within seven business days, but consular appointment availability in Sydney or Melbourne can add several weeks. Build at least four to six weeks into your proposed start date so neither you nor your employer faces unnecessary pressure.
E-3 Visa Senior IT Project Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Senior IT Project Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Senior IT Project Manager roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. The platform surfaces positions relevant to Australian nationals specifically, filtering out roles where sponsorship is not available. Standard job searches don't filter by visa type, so you can waste significant time applying to roles that won't sponsor.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Senior IT Project Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes. Senior IT Project Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field, which satisfies the E-3 specialty occupation definition. The role must involve a direct connection between the degree and the job duties. Generalist management roles with no technical degree requirement can be harder to support, so your offer letter should describe the technical scope of the position clearly.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Senior IT Project Manager roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian nationals and has no lottery, no annual cap backlog, and no multi-year wait. The H-1B requires entering a lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate for most applicants. For a Senior IT Project Manager, the E-3 lets you start work within weeks of receiving an offer, while an unselected H-1B registration means waiting another year to try again.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Senior IT Project Manager?
Yes, but you need to restart the process with the new employer. Your new employer files a fresh LCA with DOL and you attend a new consular appointment to obtain a new E-3 visa stamp. There's no portability rule equivalent to the H-1B's 60-day grace period rule, so plan your transition timing carefully to avoid gaps in authorized employment status.
