Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Service Team Lead
Translate your Australian credentials accurately
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 purposes. Get a formal credential evaluation from a USCIS-recognized agency before your interview so your employer can confirm degree equivalency without delays.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Service Team Lead roles exist across retail, hospitality, logistics, and operations. Focus on mid-to-large employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications before, as they already understand the DOL certification step and won't treat sponsorship as an unknown risk.
Frame sponsorship as a defined process for employers
Many hiring managers confuse the E-3 with the H-1B lottery and assume sponsorship is a gamble. Explain that the E-3 has no cap, no lottery, and requires only an LCA from the DOL plus a consulate appointment, which removes the uncertainty they fear.
Confirm the job description requires a degree
The E-3 specialty occupation requirement means the Service Team Lead role must formally require a bachelor's degree, not just prefer one. Review the job posting before applying and ask HR to confirm the position is classified as requiring a degree, not just preferred.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the offer stage
Once you have a job offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork from start to consulate appointment. This is where most delays happen, and having the filing managed end-to-end removes the coordination burden from both you and your new employer.
Time your consulate appointment around your start date
E-3 consulate appointments in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth have varying wait times. Confirm your intended start date with your employer before scheduling, then work backward from that date to book your appointment with enough buffer for administrative processing.

Find Service Team Lead JobsService Team Lead E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Service Team Lead jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Use Migrate Mate to search Service Team Lead roles filtered by E-3 visa sponsorship. Many employers list these positions without explicitly advertising sponsorship, so targeting companies with prior LCA filing history is more reliable than filtering by a sponsorship label alone. Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have demonstrated willingness to sponsor, saving you time on outreach that goes nowhere.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Service Team Lead role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
It depends on how the role is defined by the employer. A Service Team Lead position qualifies as a specialty occupation when the employer formally requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field. If the job description says 'preferred' rather than 'required,' or accepts any degree regardless of field, it may not meet the E-3 standard. Ask HR to confirm the degree requirement is listed as mandatory before you proceed.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for a Service Team Lead role?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and has no annual cap or lottery, which means you can apply at any time of year and start as soon as your visa is approved. The H-1B has an annual cap of 85,000 slots and is selected by lottery, so most applicants wait a year or more. For a Service Team Lead role, the E-3 is a significantly faster and more predictable path to U.S. employment.
Can I change employers on an E-3 visa if I find a better Service Team Lead role?
Yes, but the process starts fresh with your new employer. Your new employer must file a new LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp if you travel internationally, or a change of status if you're already in the U.S. You don't need to wait for a new visa period. The key is ensuring the new role also meets the specialty occupation requirement with a formal degree requirement.
