Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Vice President Of Operations
Frame your degree for specialty occupation
VP of Operations roles must meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, meaning your degree field must directly relate to the position's core duties. A business administration or operations management degree maps cleanly; a general arts degree needs supporting evidence of specialized coursework or credentials.
Target companies with existing LCA filings
Employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications before understand the E-3 process and won't balk at sponsoring. Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for operations leadership titles to identify companies already familiar with the filing requirements for your level.
Address dual intent during offer negotiations
The E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, so you'll need to demonstrate ties to Australia at your consulate interview. Raise this with your future employer early so your offer letter and LCA accurately reflect your role scope without inadvertently signaling immigrant intent.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for executive roles
VP-level sponsorship involves more scrutiny on specialty occupation justification than mid-level roles. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork, including building a strong specialty occupation argument tied to your specific operational responsibilities.
Prepare an Australian credential equivalency statement
If your Australian bachelor's is a three-year degree, document its equivalency to a U.S. four-year qualification before your interview. USCIS accepts credential evaluations, but having your employer acknowledge equivalency in the LCA supporting documentation strengthens your application at the consulate stage.
Sequence your LCA before accepting a start date
Your employer must file and receive a certified LCA from the DOL before you can attend your consulate appointment. Standard DOL certification runs approximately seven business days, so build that window into your offer negotiation before committing to a first-day timeline.

Find Vice President Of Operations JobsVice President Of Operations E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Vice President of Operations jobs with E-3 sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for VP of Operations roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Standard job searches rarely filter by visa type, so you end up cold-applying without knowing whether a company has sponsored before. Migrate Mate surfaces roles from employers with E-3 and LCA filing history, saving you from outreach that goes nowhere.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does the VP of Operations title qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It can, but the title alone doesn't guarantee approval. USCIS requires that the position normally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field, not just any degree. For VP of Operations, you'll need to show the role demands specialized knowledge in operations management, supply chain, industrial engineering, or a directly related discipline. Generic management functions without a specific degree requirement can draw scrutiny.
How does the E-3 compare to H-1B for a VP of Operations hire?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so your employer can sponsor you at any point in the year and expect a predictable outcome. The H-1B cap is 85,000 petitions per year with a lottery that results in selection rates well below 50% in recent years. For a senior operations hire where timing matters, the E-3 removes the lottery uncertainty entirely, which makes it far more practical for both you and your employer.
Can I change employers or get promoted while on an E-3?
Changing employers requires a new LCA and a new visa application tied to the new role. A promotion within the same company may also require an amended LCA if your job duties or title change materially. You can begin working for a new employer once the new LCA is certified and you have an approved visa for that role, but you can't simply transfer the existing E-3 from one employer to another.
