E-3 Visa Workday Consultant Jobs
Workday Consultant roles qualify as E-3 specialty occupations, making them strong candidates for E-3 visa sponsorship. The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so Australian professionals can target U.S. employers year-round. You'll need a bachelor's degree in a related field and a U.S. employer willing to file a Labor Condition Application before your consulate appointment.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Workday Consultant
Align your degree to the role
Workday Consultant positions typically require a degree in information systems, computer science, business, or a related field. If your Australian three-year bachelor's covers those areas, U.S. consular officers will generally accept it as equivalent to a four-year U.S. degree.
Target employers with active LCA filings
Search the DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway for employers who have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for Workday or ERP Consultant roles. Prior LCA activity signals the employer already understands E-3 visa sponsorship requirements and won't need hand-holding through the process.
Clarify Workday certification before applying
Employers screening for Workday Consultants often prioritise candidates with module-specific certifications in HCM, Financials, or Payroll. Listing your certified modules explicitly on your resume reduces the risk of being filtered out before a recruiter reviews your visa status.
Address E-3 early in recruiter conversations
Raise your E-3 status once there's genuine role interest, not in your cover letter. Frame it as requiring an LCA filing and consulate appointment, not employer sponsorship in the H-1B visa sense. Most recruiters unfamiliar with the E-3 respond better once they understand there's no lottery and no cap.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service after your offer
Once you have a signed offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end, from DOL certification through consulate preparation. This keeps the process off your employer's plate and reduces the chance of documentation errors that delay your start date.
Prepare for specialty occupation questions at your appointment
Consular officers occasionally ask Workday Consultants to explain how their degree connects to their specific implementation role. Prepare a one- to two-sentence answer linking your academic background in information systems or business to the functional Workday modules you'll configure or support.
E-3 Visa Workday Consultant: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Workday Consultant jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship. Unlike general job boards, it filters for employers familiar with the E-3 process, so you're not starting from scratch explaining the visa to every recruiter. Workday Consultant listings appear across consulting firms, enterprise software companies, and large in-house IT departments.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Workday Consultant role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes. Workday Consultant roles require a theoretical and practical application of highly specialised knowledge, and employers consistently require at minimum a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related business technology field. USCIS and consular officers have consistently treated ERP and cloud HCM implementation roles as specialty occupations under E-3 criteria.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Workday Consultants?
The E-3 is significantly more accessible for Australian professionals. There's no lottery, no annual cap of 65,000 like the H-1B, and you can apply directly at a U.S. consulate in Australia without waiting for USCIS to approve a petition first. Renewals are in two-year increments with no limit, so a long-term consulting career in the U.S. is achievable without the uncertainty of H-1B selection.
Can I change employers or Workday modules on an E-3?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new LCA filing and a new visa stamp if your current one has expired. If your stamp is still valid and you're changing roles within a similar Workday function, you may be able to start work once the new LCA is certified without returning to Australia. Changing to a substantially different module or role type may attract additional scrutiny at the consulate.
