Education And Training Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a education and training in Texas?
The path depends on your specific area. For K-12 teaching roles, you must hold a Texas teacher certification issued by the Texas Education Agency, typically earned through an approved educator preparation program and the appropriate Texas Examinations of Educator Standards tests. For corporate or workforce training positions, a bachelor's degree in instructional design, human resources, or a related field is the standard entry point, with no state license required. Certifications such as ATD's Certified Professional in Talent Development strengthen your candidacy considerably.
Which companies hire education and trainings in Texas?
Employers hiring education and trainings in Texas right now include IDEA Public Schools, Texas A&M University, and Dallas Baptist University, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's large independent school districts, community college systems, and major corporate headquarters in the energy, technology, and healthcare sectors all maintain active education and training teams throughout the year.
Which Texas cities have the most education and training jobs?
Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio have the most education and training openings in Texas. Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth generate the highest volume because of their enormous K-12 district networks and the concentration of Fortune 500 corporate headquarters that run internal learning and development functions, while Austin's fast-growing technology sector drives steady demand for instructional designers and corporate trainers.
Are there remote education and training jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields, particularly in instructional design, e-learning development, and corporate training coordination. About 27% of education and training openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the content-development side of the work translates well to distributed teams. Roles that require in-person facilitation, classroom instruction, or hands-on lab delivery are far more likely to be fully on-site.
How can I get hired as a education and training in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is an instructional aide or training coordinator assistant role, which large Texas school districts and community colleges post regularly for candidates without a full teaching background. Houston ISD, Austin Community College, and Dallas College all run structured new-hire onboarding pipelines that bring in candidates with a relevant degree but limited classroom experience. Building a portfolio of even one self-designed course or training module, and pursuing a Texas Education Agency intern certificate if you are targeting K-12, gives you a clear edge over candidates who apply without either.
Where can I find and apply to education and training jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to education and training jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across school districts, community colleges, corporate employers, and workforce agencies. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
