Performs modified cleaning and sterilizing duties. Collects, sorts, cleans, sterilizes and stores instruments after use.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Cleans, distributes and/or delivers equipment to CSR for sterilization on a regular basis; does minor trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of equipment when necessary.
- Checks equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis.
- Obtains and returns required equipment.
- Sets up and removes equipment and supplies; ensures equipment is functioning properly and stored appropriately.
- Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Maintains appropriate records, reports, and files as required.
- May assist with charting in the patients clinical chart, and breaking down and setting up for patient care.
COMMON EXPECTATIONS:
- Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings.
- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
- Distributes supplies and equipment to units in a timely fashion.
- Maintains the cleanliness of work areas as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Less than 1 year Related experience. Required
